Wow what a difference a few days makes...

Well, on Tuesday, Zelda had her pups. Luckily both myself and hubby were home to help out. She delivered 4 girls and 1 boy on Tues evening. She unfortunatly is not being "motherly" so I am having to be there mom also.

Last night, I had her in my bed with me or a bi thinking it would calm her. She was very restless. So I moved her back into her crate. She was doing the "hunching" movement, so I thought she needed to go potty. I put her out, got some water, let her in to her crate and went to bed.
My hubby woke this morning to fins she hadden given birth to another puppy during the night and it was laying on the floor very cold and hungry.

I went outside later, to find she hadnt gone to the bathroom last night, but had birthed another puppy!!! I was heartbronken to see this dead puppy. I buried her in the backyard and am still very upset over it as is my hubby. We had no way of knowing she was having labor, especially after over 24 hrs after having the last one.

So I am proud to annouce that there are now 6 puppies in my family, all black like momma, 5 girls and one boy

Awww Thats so great! I'm so sorry one of them died You had no way of knowing there was another pup in there.

Yeah thats what a friend of mine said, I had no way of knowing she was going to have more so late. It still makes me sad..

Now I have to contend with the late birther, I am BOUND to make her live.
