WOW! Tonga toast

You can also get Tonga Toast at OHana for a $5 surcharge. It comes from Kona not Cooks.

These sound so yummy. Can you have them for take-out?? Also are they only served at breakfast time?

That's what i'm wondering too. Does anyone know the answers to both these questions?

I don't know if they serve it all day. We had breakfast reservations. Didn't check out the dinner menu.

I have wanted to try Tonga Toast on the last couple of trips and never made it over to the Poly for it. Well, I'm NOT missing it this time. Since I'll be on the QSDP, I think I'll just stick with Captain Cooks since it sounds like it's basically the same at both places. Ooh, can't wait!!!

I like it with a side of ham. The salty balances the sweet! (And I'm getting hungrier by the second.)

this is the one thing i am most excited about trying (food wise) on my upcoming trip! :woohoo:

Going to try it when I go there in October. Can't wait. Heard some many good things about it. That's the only reason why we made ADR at Kona.

Question: if you get the tonga toast at capt. cooks, does that count as a CS credit? I don't know anything about capt cooks. so Im assuming its not a TS place and I can get it for a CS meal and sit and eat it somewhere???

Also, Ive heard some people say its very greasy. I don't want to walk around all day feeling like I have a lump of grease in the pit of my stomach. If we get it, we will def share. I just want to make sure that its not super greasy like some people have said. maybe they just got a bad one??

May have to try Tonga Toast at Captain Cooks since I didn't book a Kona Cafe ADR for breakfast for us.

OK - you guys got me so excited about Tonga Toast, I just made a birthday breakfast reservation!! I'm psyched. :cool1:

Lower level counter service at the Polynesian.

I don't think you can get Tonga Toast there.

<didn't read the thread... Looks like you can>

Tonga Toast has been a hot topic of conversation between all the ladies I'm gong to BLT with in November - we are DYING for this!!! Can't make ADRs til tomorrow but boy will we be disappointed if we can't get into Kona for this! I know it's at Captain Cook's but we want it with the strawberry compote. And the $4 mini glass of juice that everyone says is so good!!! (Thank goodness for the TIW card - that juice will only be $3.20!!! :rotfl2:)

Pirate Me - LOVE your location!!!!!
