Wow - is T-Rex really that popular?

I called to get our reservation also T-rex directly. I got in on our arrival day no problem. We are on the QSDP but we are dong 3 ts meals and this is one of them. DD is so excited. We ate there last year and it was ok but my kids love the atmosphere.

I wasn't too big on the food - but my 8yr old DS who is a dinosaur freak LOVED it. It was his only request for this trip so we are going there the last night of our trip... I called and it was fairly easy to get reservations.

Wanted to add that last time we ate right next to the Mammoths and I could barely get him to eat - he kept staring at those things fro the entire dinner.

We're going to be in DTD the first week in October, and I'm just wondering if we need to make reservations if we just wanted to pop in to T-Rex for a drink?? We'd just like to sit at the bar. I'm quite interested in seeing what those cotton candy martinis are all about and I would just like to get a glimpse of the inside of the place! Anyone have any idea?
