WOW - I just sold my old gold........

You can send in anything...mismatched earrings, broken chains, etc. Anything you have will add to the total weight, which - hopefully - will add to your payout total.

You can send silver in the same package, too, but silver only pays a fraction of what gold is worth...gold is going for over $1,000/oz. whereas silver is hovering around the $17 mark.

Have you been to their website? Lots of helpful information there.

Thanks for responding Lexi! Now I'm excited and I'm looking through everything. Hey...it's just sitting in a box doing nothing anyway.

Thanks again!

Does anyone sell their gold that they just don't wear. I have gold that I don't wear but in very good condition. Not sure if I should just sell or hold onto. :confused3

That's what I did - it was several yr sold and good weight and purity. We're thinking of sending a few more

Well, it's delivered, but no phone call yet. I will have to look back at old posts and see how long it usually takes.

All of the items I sent were in good condition, but dated. Don't think herringbones will come back in a big way. At least I hope not! ;)

Mine was delivered at 10 am and the call came at 5:20 - I think my old, but weighty herringbones helped a lot....and the quality of 14k & 18k. $1458 for me, so don't give up hope!

What all did you send in?

I don't think I ever heard a cleart answer, but are any of you getting moeny for gemstones? I have a good karats worth a diamond on a braclet that I don't wear, I wondered if they pay for that too?

I sent in several chains (all broken or severly knotted), 3 women's rings (only one had a tiny, tiny diamond chip in it; one had a missing stone and one was all gold) and one man's ring (again, all gold) and several unmated gold earrings. Not a whole lot and nothing usable.

Diamonds are not worth as much right now, it is the gold quality and weight. Good luck!

Got my call. $617. Not bad for things I haven't worn in 20 years. :thumbsup2

Looks like I have some more spending money for Disney in two weeks!

Ok, as I'm typing my last post I get a call back from USGB. They were reviewing my items and found they did not credit me for my gemstones (how ironic!). They are sending me an additional $200 for the stones. Woot! :thumbsup2

Now there's an honest company!

That is great news!!!!

A friend hosted a gold party where folks came and weighed your gold. I had 2 rings, a broken chain and a single earring. I got just over $100.

A friend sold a whole bag of gold and got $4400!!!

My stuff was just sitting in my jewlery box collecting dust. i think i have some stuff at my mom's house, will have to go and collect that too! every little bit of money helps!

I have nothing but great things to say about www.usgoldbuyers.com. I sent my package yesterday, and payment of $305.00 was in my paypal account today. Much more than I expected!!!!! I can breath a bit easier about our trip in 2 weeks now, knowing everything is taken care of!!!

Thanks for the recommendation. I am going to send my gold in.

What type of stones did your jewelry have? I have one diamond ring I am debating adding to the pile.

OK, so I may finally jump on the bandwagon here. I'm looking at USGoldBuyers.com. Is this the online site everyone here is using?

Also, I'm confused on pricing. I assume the price listed is per ounce? (So if I send in 0-5.0 ounces, it would be $318 per ounce for 10K -- as of today?)

And, I have a few rings with gemstones -- how do they determine the payout on those?

TIA!!

I don't think it is as exact as it seems - they also test the gold for purity, which effects the price. Until they weigh it and determine the quality, there is no way to know what the offer will be.

Good luck!!!

I've decided to take the plunge. I downloaded the paperwork, counted up my pieces and will go to our local FedEx tomorrow to ship it. I realize they will come and pick it up, but for me it's simpler to just run to Fed Ex rather than wait for them. I have mostly lightweight 14K, with just a couple of heavier pieces, so I will be happy with $200. I will let you know how it goes.
