WOW - I just sold my old gold........

Yes, I sent my old sterling herringbone necklaces, some bracelets, rings that were too small etc. Sterling doesn't pay nearly as much and I had quite a lot but I did get $200 for the silver which I was happy with.

WOW - thats a lot for silver! Good for you. I sent them a bunch and got just about $40!

What can you tell me about Paypal payment from Goldfellow?

I accepted my offer yesterday afternoon and selected paypal for my payment option. We are leaving for Disney on Wednesday :cool1: , any chance I will have access to the money by then?

Thanks! And thanks to all for this thread!!

I sent in my items to usgoldbuyers.com on Tuesday through FedEx. I have yet to hear from though. I "assume" they will let me know today or tomorrow.

possible.. do you have paypal debit card? The payment comes to paypal by check so It will take 3-5 business days to clear your paypal account.

Oh boy, I went through about 15 pages before I gave up, trying to see how many days it takes to get a check from USGB!

Anyway, it seems like it's about 4 - 5 days. I hope it will be maybe one day less for me since I'm nearby in Boston. One can only hope! ;)

I wanted to say thank you to the OP for starting this thread!!

And - thank you to all you guys who have offered up your advise, tips, and procedures used!

I mailed off my gold today to Gold Fellows... (hey - its up 6 bucks from yesterday - here's hopin thats a trend till they get my gold)

Not much - 2 rings, a school ring, a necklace/pendant, 10 earrings (5 pair), and 2 coins. I have more I can send, and a TON of silver - but I want to see how this first load pays out.

Thanks again to everyone!

Maybe the original poster could post a summary in the first post on this thread so people don't have to go through the whole thread to find the basic info like:

Two most reputable companies thus far - USGB and Goldfellows
How to send - contact company for mailing info.
Are stones removed - only if of high value
Are non-gold items returned - yes if requested - free from Goldfellow, small cost from USGB

etc.

I got my call Monday night and I received the check today(Thursday).I am in the same state as them so figure maybe an extra day or so if further away.

Thank you for that information. So I got the call Tuesday so I'm guessing maybe Saturday I'll get it then since I'm in Boston.

Did it come regular mail in a regular envelope??

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

I got my check today and I got the call on Friday. I live in NC. It came in a regular envelope.

Does anyone know if they accept a 14KSP...is this real gold and what does the SP mean? Thanks. Have a necklace with that on it.

I wouldn't count on that. I just called USgoldbuyers and they got my package on Tuesday morning and they said I shouldn't expect to hear anything till Mon or Tue. I had such a good experience with goldfellows the first time now asking myself why am I going through USgoldbuyers.:rolleyes1

Ugh - I thought they typically respond within 24-48 hours after receiving?

After spending hours reading this thread I cleaned out the jewelery box of mostly broken chains, 1 bracelet, 4 pairs of earrings, some charms, one very ugly pendant and 2 rings. Hubby works in NYC so he took it all to US gold buyers (Thanks to all of you) said he felt like he was wasting his time because I probably wouldn't get more than $200-$300. I told him by reading the Dis I was estimating $800 - well he just called we got $1220!!! and that was minus 1 pair of earrings that were not real gold. So, Thank you so much!

Will someone please send me the e-mail address so that I can send for the
packaging to mail to them ?

This is a great idea !

Thanks.

:cool1:

I have just read most of this thread. WOW is all I can say. I have raided my jewelry boxes of stuff that I have not worn in years. Lots was my grandmothers. I am not really attached to it and my Disney fund needs a boost. I am sending it to Goldfellow - I think I read that it is Gold fellow that is giving Dis members 10% extra. is that right and all I have to do is include a piece of paper saying I am a Dis member?

WOW, congratulations! Are they down in the gold exchange area? ***DID he need an appointment????***

I wrote my Disboard name on the packaging slip and said--I am a disboards member. They gave me the 10% extra-- no problems!

have a great day-
jen
