WOW - I just sold my old gold........

USGB got my package on Monday morning and they called me on Tues. During that time frame, gold was taking a dive in value...perhaps they had fewer packages coming in. I got a phone call only, no further emails after the initial one with the shipping info. If you don't hear today, you may want to try contacting them. That does seem like a long time to wait. Good luck!

Just called the main number and fyi to everyone they state they are NOT taking any more packages right now. For the ones that were delivered Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week they are just now opening them today. I didn't think to ask but do they give you the price on the date in which they open the package or the date the package was delivered?

BTW - I believe they are still taking walk-ins to their store.

From what I've read, I think they give you the price on the date the jewelry is processed -- (which I assume means the day they open the pkg, weigh it, etc.) I just received confirmation that my pkg was delivered this morning -- so based upon other's experiences, I may not hear from them until Wednesday or Thursday. Here's hoping the price of gold just keeps going up and up!!!

I have a crazy question but I found some old stuff I want to sell. I want to fed ex.com and seen the only places that have it around here are outside places... Where do I go about getting a fed ex envolope. Also do i pay anything to ship this or is it pre payed since i printed off the express saver form.

Sent my package out on 3/27/08. But, it didn't arrive till 4/1/08 and price had dropped. Ended up with a settlement through GF for 346.00. Not going to complain. It pretty much paid for my DH's anniversary gift which was my goal anyways. I will definetely be keeping a lookout at yard sales and auctions this summer though and will stockpile and then send in again.

I brought my gold to a local jeweler who was advertising that he was buying gold and diamonds. Here is what he offered:

18K- 4.1 p = 64.00
14K 16 p= 168.00
10k 8.1 p = 42.00
14k bracelet 6.1 p 74.00 plus 100 dollars for diamonds.

So I guess I was a bit shocked on the 100.00 dollars for diamonds...I traded in my old wedding ring from my ex husband and got this diamond bracelet that was valued at 1000 dollars and now I am only getting 174 for it...does that seem right? It is broken and he said it would cost 72.00 to fix it.

So is Goldfellow still accepting jewelry right now? Are they the ones that are offering 10% extra to Disney members? If so, I went to their site and calculated the pennyweight and it looks like they would pay more than this jeweler.

What would you do with the diamond bracelet?

Who knows - I am coming up almost on a week and they still haven't called with a payout #. I called today and they said they were just now opening items they received Wednesday-Friday. I have to say I am a bit disappointed in using them and probably won't recommend them due to my experience. When I got the information to send in they still had it posted on the website as 24-48 processing.

I am hoping those that use them have better luck or use someone entirely different.

I have an old, sterling teapot - handle is missing.
It is not as large as something you'd put on the stove,
much smaller actually, I'd say about the size of a large mug.
Can I send that along with the jewelry items I have?
Can I use their lable with a box and still ship free FedEx?

I'm finally having a gold party at my house tonight. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I have already sold my gold and so have some other members of my family but I think I have around 6-8 people coming anyways.
