I just looked at Song's website to check any changes to my itinerary, see if prices dropped, etc.

Imagine my shock to see that my flight to Orlando is now at $143.00, because I booked it a few weeks ago at $79. :duck:

My return flight is still $79, but I am curious as to why the flight down went up!

Just curious, when are you going and from where? It's always a great feeling when you get a good price and then it goes up. :sunny:

I noticed the same thing! We paid $79 each way about a month ago. Now I see that the way down is $143, yet the trip back is still $79. (Our dates are May 8-16th.) I am glad we both ended up with the lower fare! :teeth:

You are seeing the next "tier" of pricing. You were able to get into the lowest tier. The lowest tickets are now sold out and the computer automatically jumps the pricing up to the next one and so on. Congrats!

Yep, me too!

I bought at $69 - $79 and now going down is $124. I'm not going until November 25 and I booked it over a month ago. Glad I did!

The same has also happened with my rental car at National. I booked it the second I had my flight times and got $170 total for 8 days and now it way over $300! I'm very happy!

I am going in May as well Flying out on Delta Song out of Hartford. My airfare also went up to $143 on the way down and is still $79 on the way home. I am also glad that I bought it when I did.

This is my first time flying on Song so I am glad to see so many using them makes me feel a little bit more at ease using them.

May 3rd until May 10th POFQ here we come!

Arrggghhh! Thats when we are going down for our Magical Gatherings! Its now $143.00! I REALLY hope it goes back down there are 15 of us! Yikes!

Had the same experience, we got at 79 and 99, a week later it's anywhere from 179 to 234 depending on what time the flight is. I went and looked at seat assignments and it looks almost exactly as it did when I sign up so must have gotten some of the last seats at the cheaper price. What's really odd is that the flight is only really 1/2 full and this is 3 weeks out. Seems like they wouldn't really fill, who knows

right away. I don't take any chances. As soon as I see a price lower than normal out of my airport, I "charge" it right away.

I don't see any chances of major price drops between now and May. If some amazing airfares do come out. I will book them because I have my eye on a Disney Cruise now.

Hi Cassie!

We are going June 1st through June 6th.
Bradley to WDW.
I really am glad I purchased when I did. I really love Song, they made our trip last year wonderful,, when we had a hard time getting home from Hurricane Jeanne!

According to their website, there are only 6 other people on the place other than us, and the green seats that there is no access to yet, so unless they keep it at $79-$99, I would find it hard to beleive that people wouldn't choose Southwest instead of Song.
Maybe we'll have the plane to ourselves :earseek:

I don't understand how this works, because I've seen Song go from $69 to $249 and then a few months later down to $69 again.

My trip is still 6 and a half months away, but I started looking at airfare 2 months ago.
Believe it or not Song was $20 higher for the flight down and $40 higher for the flight home only a few weeks ago. When I rechecked this past Monday, both had gone down to $59. So I booked right away, I don't want to get shut out of this low price.

OK, so maybe i should have kept my big mouth shut because:

I just checked my itinerary again (like I do every day :goodvibes ), and it looks right.

However, if I try to book the return flight again, there is a different flight # there, and there are no seats assigned on the plane. :confused3 !!

So, where did my flight and my seats go?

SONG, don't make me bad-mouth you when I have been so happy in the past!!! :p :p

we booked song for jan & the rates were $59 each way....we waited until after our trip to book for our march trip...bc we wanted to make sur we liked song better than jetblue or sw..........well, we LOVED song...but when we got back 8 days later & checked...our flight down was $119 & back $69!!! we watched for several days & decided to book...glad we did! it's $249 down & $69 back!!

Alecam, your flight might not have seat assignments because Song in the past has made changes to flights and you have to call them and get new seat assignments. This has happened to me on Song and also on JetBlue. I've had to explain that I'm traveling with my son and I have been able to get seats together. You should call them.

Thanks, but I checked my itinerary, and it stated the new flight number, and it does have our same seats listed. I also looked at the picture of the seat assignment, and our seats are taken, so I think we are all set!!
On our last trip for September, though, they did change things around a little bit and assigned us different seats, but I was able to change them back to the original ones, because they were still available :confused3 !!

So I will keep making sure (every few days or so) that everything stays the same!
Thanks Ms.Belle!! :teeth:

Airline prices are wacky, and go up and down, currently the roundtrip we purchased on song is going for over $800 for both of us, but we paid $470 on dec 24th. :groom:

I booked for our Grand Gatherings back in Oct and we got $160. round trip for all 20 of us from Boston! I thought that was great, after we bought those seats the price went up for that flight the next day! Anyone going June 25-
July 2? :earboy2:
