Wow, do I feel "out of the loop!"

I just received my "Vacation Planning Guide" from Disney, and I noticed that "Disney MGM Studios" is now called "Disney Studios". I'm sure I missed something really big...but, can anyone tell me when and why this happened?

The park is still called Disney-MGM Studios, but they have refered to it as Disney Studios on some promotional material (like planning videos or dvds) for at least 7 or so years now due to legal reasons.
