WOW ! Car rentals went up

The last time we went on vacation 2013, I could rent a mini-van for around $100.00 (with coupon code). One way one way rental Mco-CC.Now It's $200 or more!! WTH ?

You don't say when you are looking to rent but rates vary widely (and wildly) depending on the time of year and how early you reserve. Our usual strategy is to reserve the best rate we see now and then keep checking for a better rate as your travel dates get closer.

I've been checking rates quite often for our upcoming trip. The price has only gone up the closer we get. I did manage to get a decent price a few months ago for this trip, but was hoping it would go down by now. It's actually gone up by $100.

Were going Jan 2016.Budget doesnt have that date available yet ,but just looking at prices they have now are crazy. Hertz has pricing that far out and it's expensive too.

My strategy also. Usually works, keep checking right up until you leave.
