I'm no super athelete, but I'm in pretty good shape. About 4 times/week I run or do other aerobic work at the gym, resistance stuff, pilates. 2 days ago, I took DS to the bowling alley to "bowl your brains out." 2 hours of bowling for a flat price, good deal. Well, he only made it through an hour before he was pooped out. I decided to bowl our last game by myself. Well the next day I thought "ouch, I must have pulled something," never making the connection to my bowling activity. Today, I'm having trouble getting out of a chair! There is the ouch in my arms and wrist of course, but the back of my legs (ok, it's my butt) -- killing me!
So hats off to you bowlers! I think I'm going to replace one trip to the gym/week with a trip to the bowling alley. More fun, for sure.
Now I have to try NASCAR because I keep hearing about the physical demands of that sport and I'm not quite sold. Oh yea, I'm gonna get flamed for that!
I won't even say the word "golf" on this thread!
