When you compared prices did you compare the full package options needed with each?

Boardwalk is great for many reason, location tops the list. But Gran Destino Tower is absolutely gorgeous! If you end up needing to keep that reservation it’s nothing to worry about. You can enjoy your GDT stay this trip and look into a BW or BC stay next time

No, that package no longer is offered. In this case, I think it would be best to call to see if it really will only be $400 more.

When is your trip? CR Tower rooms are undoing refurb right now (one side has scrims up right now, I think the lake view starts later in May). The Garden Wing rooms are off to the side/not impacted, but it may impact your overall stay for dining and other things in the Tower.

One of the better TS spots at CR - The Wave - just announced they’ll be closing 7/16 for what appears to be a material refurb.

Garden Wing has a mixed following, generally speaking.

Some people LOVE IT... it’s quiet, no elevators to deal with, CR has spacious rooms, some Garden Wing views have very serene/peaceful views.

Some people find it dark, distant, feeling a little long in the tooth in terms of room style.

I personally haven’t stayed in the Garden Wing because I can’t ever get myself to not book the tower. But not being in the Tower can be a pro for many.

Often to me it comes down to park preferences. If y’all are heavy MK folks, then CR makes a lot of sense. If you’re more Epcot/DHS folks, then being walking distance to both parks from the BWI location makes a lot of sense.

If this had been DW and I in our 30’s with no kids, we probably would have enjoyed the dining/park access/offerings provided by the BWI location much more than the CR location.

Hi all, some background information, my husband I are are a couple in our early to mid-30's and it'll be just us on this trip. Right now we are booked at CSR in the GDT. I have been to Disney twice. Once at CBR, once at CSR (not GDT). Right now with the trip insurance we are paying appx $2,400 for a 4 night/5 day stay with the 5 day park promo. Would you move to Disney's Boardwalk for appx $2,800? We like a mix of resort time and park time, we enjoy the pools, but we don't mind buses either. We would be visiting each of the parks once. Any help is appreciated. Thank you again.

GDT is fine but the Boardwalk put you right in the middle of 2 theme parks.

It gets you close to Epcot, the most "adult" area of the Disney theme parks.

My spouse and I love walking around the World Showcase, eating, drinking, and then be able to walk back to the room.

We've had a Garden View room. It looked out over a courtyard, surrounded by Boardwalk hotel rooms on all 4 sides.

Thank you. So excited to stay at BWI. Since we like to enjoy the resort as well as theme parks (we aren’t rope drop people), I think it was a good choice.
