We play that Santa game where you can steal the gift and it's a riot. About 30 people participate. We have a $25 limit and most people get things like booze, gift certificates and fuzzy blankets. I like to be different and every year my gift is usually the one everyone wants. This year I was at a loss what to get. It had to be under $25 and fit both male or female.

I bought a Homedics spa alarm clock that shows the indoor and outdoor temp and the time on the ceiling or the wall. It has all the spa sounds on it too.
It was originally $60 and I got all kinds of sales and coupons on it, bringing it down to around $25.

What do you think, will it be a hit or miss? Thing is, I want it so much I got two, one for my husband to bring. I'm secretly hoping no one wants my gift this year. Maybe we'll get them both back. :lmao:

I love that game, with the right group of people. DH's family plays every year, and the game itself is more fun that what you actually end up getting. It's HILARIOUS!! But I've played with outher groups that just don't get the spirit of the game, and it ranges from boring to awkward - lol.

Anyway, your gift sounds awesome! I'd steal that from my own kid! :rotfl:

we do that at work every year, and the booze and gift cards are always the ones that are fought over.
knowing my group, the spa clock wouldn't fly.

Last year I did a $25 Amex gift card (fee free thru Amex's website last year) and it was 'swapped' a LOT

Oh yes I would love that. I need an alarm clock that displays on the ceiling because when ours goes off I can't see it over dh's big head :lmao:

dh and I weren't there for Christmas last year. The year before last, I bought Tempurpedic pillows, everyone wanted them.
I've gotten Martini sets, $50 spa certificates I only paid $25 for,
an under the cabinet tool set, restaurant certificates, movie baskets filled with classic dvd's, popcorn, candy and soda.
Things people wouldn't think about, but once they saw it, they wanted it.
I'm hoping the clock radios aren't duds. But even if they are, We'll take them! So it's all good.
My only complaint is this game takes forever. We had to place a two swap rule because otherwise we'd be there for hours. It does get tedious after awhile.

A1tinkfans, LCR is a favorite of ours at family functions as well as 3's, another dice game. My family is competitive to put it mildly and these games get wild. Everyone knows to bring cash for dice. Christmas eve is about the only time we don't gamble. :rolleyes1

We stopped all gift giving except for this game. The stress is off and everyone has so much fun.
