Would You Still Go Without a Code?

We will go for sure! I booked WL with AAA, but may need to change to a mod or Swan/Dolphin if a code doesn't come out. I am now dreaming about discounts...this is bad. I dreamed last night that a CM told me that there was no pin attached to my name or address, but to watch for codes around August. It must have been that apple martini before bedtime...

We're booked in WL for 10 nights. We're purchasing one, perhaps two annual passes. If AP rates are made available then I'll try and take advantage of that perk. If not then not. I'm still going to Disney and I'm still staying at WL. It's bought and paid for, any discount is just gravy!

We are all booked at WL in May with NO code!! OUch!!
Still going weather codes come out or not............If they do come out we'll maybe upgrade to the Beach Club!!

I have yet to pay rack rate on a Disney resort and I don't plan to start. I have AAA so I use that discount and right now I am budgeting on paying that AAA rate if AP codes don't come out. If AP codes do come out I will apply it and that is an added bonus. If they don't come out then I am still going but again I am only paying 109/night at a moderate and in my budget is showing that.

I don't think I could ever bring myself to pay rack at a deluxe resort unless it was a special occasion like an anniversary (and a big one like 10 years, 15 years and so on).

Yes. I would. When I'm at Disney I don't think about money. It's the thing each year that we splurge on ourselves.
My friend thinks I'm cheap because I don't replace my couch or do some other household jobs. Right now I'd rather spend the money on our Disney trip.

I think of our vacation memories together are more important than remembering new couch every few years. :flower:

bumping this back up since codes seem to be on everyone's mind right now. good luck! :confused3

Yes, but we wouldn't stay in a deluxe. Quite possibly we would stay offsite.

I would definitely still go without a code. I would just have to go with the value resort. Now, if I can get a deal with my AAA, then maybe I would opt for a moderate resort.

I'll still go without a code because it's our first trip and so I booked what I wanted codes or no codes. I'm operating on the assumption with the new celebration, tickets and everything else there will be no codes. If we end up getting a code, then it's a bonus for us! (Yes, I'm *hoping* for a code but I know how much I'm in for without one!).

We just booked at the Boardwalk Villas in December without a code, so Yes I will stay on property with or without a code!

I would still go without a code, but I'd probably stay in a lower level of resort than I prefer. I prefer to stay at the moderates, but I would bump down to values if no codes came out.

This is our first trip ever to WDW. We live in Oregon and make a driving trip to DL about once every 2 or 3 years. With 6 of us (one is an infant), the cheapest room we could get would be POR with a trundle. I can't justify spending $1400 on a room when I was able to book Fairfield Marriott Village for 9 nights for $468 including tax throught AAA. I would really really love to stay onsite, but our budget is tight and I think that extra $1000 will be better spent on souvenirs, a day at universal, and nicer restaurants.

If good codes do come out, I might try to get POR for the second half of the trip. We are going to Sea World and Universal during the first part of our trip, so it would be nice to stay at WDW for the all-disney portion of the trip.

Hi,

I feel that there is no need to pay rack rate at any hotel. We booked the Swan through Dreams with no code for $159 a night for a standard view room. Rack rate is over $300.

I have gone to WDW before the word code was ever spoken. I will continue to go to WDW and stay onsite if I never see a code again. I will just stay at one of their resorts that I can afford. We had to pay rack rate for a 2 night stay just a couple of years ago when we had to extend our stay to get a flight. If it ever came to paying rack rate vs staying off site, I would pay rack rate in a second because we think staying onsite makes a huge different in our trips.

This is our first trip there, so we're making it as nice as we can afford, code or no code. We'll stay at AKL standard view, then if a code or offer comes out, we'll upgrade.

Now, if we start making this trip every year or two, we'll probably look into saving money in a smarter way. But this year, we just want to go!
