Would you stay or go, daycare issue?

A former teacher (she had taught there for 8 years untill Nov.) passed unexpectedly in early April, the staff wasnt given time off to go & it was business as usual. I had expected the doors to be closed so everyone could attend her funeral.

I teach at a daycare...and in Jan. of 2003, one of our teachers was in a serious car accident, she was in a coma for a month, her 3 year old daughter died in the accident. Our daycare did not shut down, due to the fact that many parents would have pitched a fit. We did have very genorous parents that volunteered to come in and work classrooms, so some of us closest to the family involved could attend the sweet little girl's funeral. We hear complaints for being closed on the 7 "holidays" that we get a year.

As for buzzer, it really is just a precaution in these days in time. I would not assume that something "has happened", I would look at it as "preventing something from happening".

Bottom line is, if your gut tells you it is not the right school for your child, you should look elsewhere.
