Would anyone be willing to purchase a pass to ride RoTR? What if they turned the 1pm option off and made it a by purchase only? What would you pay? Would this make you not go to Disney?

Disney could make alot of money if they did this. They already seem to be pricing out middle class so why not offer more upcharge options. ? Already might be a thing with fast passes aka max pass this could be a add-on for that purchase.

I don’t see it happening right now. Maybe if they were forced to because of too much popularity, but right now their system seems to work.

i mean, i wouldn't enjoy it, but having been down there waking up at 6:45 to try the 7am queue the morning after my flight....yeah i would've paid 25 bones to sleep in.

Yes, I would pay to not have all the anxiety of getting one. I don't think I'd shell out any more than $25, but yes they could make even more money off me!!

The spots are gone in 2-3 seconds.. I don't really see that as working.

I’ve gone through the motions of trying but failing multiple times to get a boarding group. We finally got to ride a few months ago. With one ECV in the group, the queue was nightmarish to navigate, and I felt rushed through. The CMs were in character. That is to say they were rude and unhelpful. So, no. Not in a hurry to do that again. Certainly not going to pay for it.
If the queue hadn’t been so irritating, my overall opinion might be better. My family seemed to enjoy it.

Yes. Just to not have the anxiety of trying to get a boarding pass. However, I'd only pay to do it once since we've never done it. After that, no thanks.

Yes, just to not have the stress of fretting over and trying to get the BG. although when all is said and done, I'm ok if we don't ride every time, but if it was like our only chance on that trip, or with folks who rarely go, yes! I really would only be comfortable around $10.00, would not pay over that for one ride.

To know we are guaranteed a ride without the hassle and worry to get a boarding pass. Yes I would pay 25.00 and maybe even 50.00.

No, for a family it just adds up and we could do more with that money instead. Personally, I like that you can’t buy your way onto the ride and everyone has an opportunity. If we don’t get a boarding pass, it will not ruin our vacation. Nor do we need to spend many hours in line. When FoP opened, lines got to be 4-6 hours. I didn’t wait for that and I wouldn’t wait for RoTR. Others can and that’s their choice. Maybe if it was a much higher priority for us, I would spend the money/time but we will ride it eventually on another trip.

I appreciate others may be willing to pay. It’s called discretionary income and we can all choose what to do with ours : )

It fills it to capacity, and Disney hasn’t ever guaranteed any ride. If people were to pay to ride, there would be no equity left in the chance to get one. The one ride limit per day at least gives everyone an equal chance, so, Disney is doing the best it can given the demand.

Regardless of whether I could afford to pay, the price would have to be so low in order for me to be willing to pay extra that it would require a PG (purchasing group) and the virtual queue/lottery to purchase BGs would be full within seconds each day. :rotfl2:

I answered No, because we are already paying for ride privileges at disney's high prices. I also feel it should be open for all, whether they pay or not, to be fair.
I guess also I'm not really a star wars fan, so it's not so important to me.
I think this would set a dangerous precedent and incentive for disney to have us pay for other rides too. JMO.

I agree that the current system is as equitable as it can be - everyone has a shot. I hope the boarding groups stay, I can't even imagine what the line situation would be. Even if FP comes back, it would be the same situation, only playing out early each morning 60 days out, those of us who don't stay on site would never have a chance at all to get one, and the stand by line would be hours long all the time. No thanks.

I wouldn’t pay extra. But if I’m Disney, I would eventually include ROTR in private tours. This is a “guaranteed” ride for a limited number of guests that are willing to pay extra but doesn’t completely derail the current BG system which is working, for the most part.
