DH and I are thinking about staying here next March. This will be a mommy and daddy only trip. Please tell me your experiences (both good or bad) for this hotel.

Thank you!!

I just got back last week. If they have that $20.04 per night special in the Spring, I may go, too.

I had a wonderful time and I highly recommend it for the $20.03 price, location, restaurant, amenities, and staff service.

For some info that I put together on the hotel, just click on the link below my signature pictures.

God bless, best wishes, and encouragement, RaySharpton:)

We have stayed there and I would recommend the hotel. You can't go wrong if you want to stay offsite here.

I would recommend the hotel if you can find a discount rate to stay there. I don't think I would personally be happy with the hotel if I had paid rack rates. I have saw rates on other sites in the $39.00 per night range. You should be able to find these kind of rates with a little research.

Enjoy the trip.

I feel the hotel is worth more than $39. We had a great room and great service.

I paid $29 but would be willing to pay up to $45. No more. Yes, I enjoyed it and it was clean, but I don't think it's worth more.

We just returned from this hotel. . .the staff was very friendly. . the rooms were large. . however, we booked two adjoining rooms so that my 3 ds's could have one room and dh and I the other. Well, when we first walked into our room, the musty smell was so overpowering, you could almost taste it. Then one of my son's used the bathroom and came out and said he felt like it would tip over. Well, that's because it was so loosely (not)attached to the floor. A very nice maintenance man fixed it as best as he could(it was bed time) but he ran out of time to fix it completely. Then my husband tried out his side of the bed and boing - a spring was sticking up so badly he had to move to the other bed. You say fine, move over to the other bed, but that bed was next to the vent which we discovered was the source of our musty smell. We called to change rooms, the staff was very nice, but since we needed two rooms next to each other , they were unable to move us since the hotel was so full. We ended up leaving the next morning. We told the manager about our experience and he understood and told us the hotel is being rennovated next January. Honestly, if you're looking for a special place to stay, I would not reccomend this hotel. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay with excellent customer service but not necessarily the best material conditions then I guess it would be ok.

What room number were you in? Do you remember? I am scared to death Of having a similar experience. We are going for 3 nights is Sept. My husband will freak if we get a room like you are describing. Did the manager refund your money at least? Please let me know. I am hoping that he did. If so, I will at least feel better.

Let me know,

Angee

I wouldn't worry about it. It may have problems in some rooms but the management is wonderful. We enjoyed our stay there and didn'thave any of the problems that others mentioned.

If they thought it was so bad why did they decide to stay there?

I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Was your room in the tower or in the wing section? We stayed in the tower in May and our room was fine. Going back in Sept. but we were thinking about asking for a room in the wing section. Please let us know if that's were your room was.

We stayed in the wing section and had no problem with our room. It wasn't disney themed but for the 20.03 we payed it was well worth it and if it is available again we would definately go. Our room was clean and the service was exceptional. No complaints from us.

:D Hubby and I have stayed here several times. The rooms are large. the beds are VERY comfortable. We found the staff to go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Adjacent to the building is a very reasonable buffet breakfast with make it yourself Mickey waffles. We would go here again in a heartbeat.:D

The problems we encountered were in rooms 229 and 230 with a view of the pool. I hope this helps. It seems to me that most people have had a positive experience at this hotel. I wish that had been the case for us. I hope others can avoid what we experienced.

We also had a problem with a musty smell that was very strong. We were in 1216 & 1217 overlooking hotel royal plaza with no balcony. I really think not being able to open a window made the musty smell so bad. We were moved the next day, but we had one room at one end of the hall and the other 5 rooms down. I missed the connecting rooms--but that smell was unbearable. I also missed the great view of DD that we had last year on the 12th floor in the front of the hotel. They told us the 20.02 rooms were all overlooking hotel royal plaza, but from what I have been reading--people have been all over I-4, front, DD, and the dreaded hotel royal plaza (I believe this is the only side with no balconys). Our new rooms 805 & 810 were great--no smell, clean, and a great view for 20.03 a night. Don't worry about the room, if you are unhappy, they will change your room. They told us they were sold out 8/17-8/22, but I don't believe it. We also heard that hotel is going to be renovated in 1/04. Maybe this is the end of the 20.03 days. Good Luck!!
