Would you recommend a character dining for two adults?

I did make a couple PS's (one as a backup). DH thinks I'm nuts. But it's about the whole experience right? I was wondering do you think I should just cancel any character PS's and skip a character meal?

As long as both the adults have a good sense of "Disney", it can be a lot of fun. The characters sometimes enjoy goofing on the adults instead of just little kids....

we are a young engaged couple (actually getting married at wdw this march! :love2: ) and we have done some character meals at wdw & enjoyed them (have some great pictures with the characters too) our favorites are crystal palace with winnie the pooh & friends for a late dinner get out just in time for the mk fireworks, we also like 1900 park fare at the gf and chef mickeys at the cnt.

I made PS for DH and I without realizing it was a character meal (dinner). Meeko stopped by our table and I had no idea who it was! The interaction that ensued was terrific and it sure was funny. Had I known it was a character meal, I would not have made the PS. Glad I did, and I will be doing it on purpose in the future. However, I won't do a breakfast just for adults- seems there are a LOT more kids at those. I took my DGDs to Chef Mickeys for a Sunday breakfast and it was extrememly hectic - DH would NOT have like that.

DW and I would make PS at character meals all the time. The characters will still have fun with you but if you are not in the mood, they move on quickly. I would say to keep them and have fun.

Absolutely!

If I find the food interesting, I go. I have been to both Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fair, and I would not hestitate to return to either place. Great food!

DH and I like to do at least 1-2 character meals per trip even pre-kids. We really enjoyed them and it was a fun way to spend some time with the characters without having to wait in line (although we did plenty of that too! ;) ).

I say go for it!!!! :)

The two of us have gone to character meals on all of our trips. Last July we went to Chef Mickey's and Goofy put me in a headlock. We had a lot of fun.

DW & I did 1900 Park Fare & the Ice Cream Social. We had a blast. We also did a character meal at Disneyland. We're planning on doing one next trip. No kids...no problem!

We always do character meals. Actually, this upcoming trip will be the first one we do with a kid in our party (niece who is 7). The characters usually pose for a picture or two and then move on rather quickly, but it is still fun. I would go and have a good time.

In a heartbeat I would do the character meals. I'd personally skip some of the louder ones (CP & CM, maybe even Donald's) and go for the quieter ones --LTT, GG, Ohana's

::MickeyMo Sure! My BF and I are going (22 and 21 yrs. old) and we have 5 of them planned! They're fun and gives you a chance to get some neat pictures. ::MinnieMo

My DH thinks I'm nuts too when I make a character meal PS every trip. But you know what? He always goes and enjoys himself. And everyone around us is having too much fun themselves to look at us-2 empty nesters, no kids. I guess it's just not "manly" for some DHs to admit they enjoy the character meals!

Are you doing them with different characters or the same characters at the meals?

Two are mickey and the gang, and then we are doing crystal palace for breakfast and that is with pooh and the gang. :sunny:

Just 20 days 15 hours and 49 minutes!!!!! :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

At WDW we enjoy Chef Mickeys and it SOOOO worth the money if you are into characters!! We (FDH 24 and me 23) LOVE IT!! We thought it was great that you just sit enjoy breakfast and wait till the characters come around! I actually just made PS's for L.T.T. character dinner for our FTW planning trip part 2 in May. It just seemed soooo much more convenient to get character pics with out having to wait in line! ALSO! We live in Las Vegas and made a special last minute trip to DL when we found out that they added a Lilo and Stitch character breakfast. So yes Character meals are great even for adults! :teeth:
