DH and I are going back and forth. I can cancel my room though Disney and do the Orbitz deal for the same room for 33.77 cheaper. I imagine it being a hassel waiting for conformation not getting the building I requested etc. Would you cancel and rebook to save 33.77? I say no but hubby says yes. If it were over 50.00 I would but 33.77 is just a small savings....advice??? WWYD

Would Disney price match??

Absolutely not! I don't like to deal with those travel sites because it is such a pain in the neck to try and get a refund or adjustment.

My uncle recently was booking a room at BWI and found that Expedia had the same room posted for about $200/night cheaper than Disney (even using all promo codes), he called up Disney and they matched it. Might be worth a try....

For a huge savings I'd rebook. Otherwise not. I've had some not-so-great experiences dealing with those third party sites.

i would really have to re-evaluate where i was going on vacation if i had to worry about 33 dollars. but like the others said..if you rebook....your about to get a 33 dollar headache...not for me

 Asking a question do not need your snarky reply.

I'd not do it.

If you do decide, be sure to read all the fine print in your new booking, about changes and/or cancellation - just in case :) And of course be sure there is no fee to cancel your original booking.

Also explore how long it will take for your refund from your original booking to credit. Depending on method of payment, it might take your bank/cc company a while to process the refund. (It takes my bank a long while to process refunds with my debit card, so I never use it)

Not me! Disney=peace of mind. But, it is a *free* CS meal . . .maybe Disney could price match in the form of a room credit or meal voucher?
Good luck and enjoy your vacation!

I'd never do that; Orbitz is not going to be as easy to deal with as Disney. I'd try calling Disney to see if they'd match the price or if there was maybe something else less expensive, but I'd keep my reservation WITH Disney, and not switch it to Orbitz.

I agree with the others....not worth the hassle to rebook for such a small amount of savings.

I would if you were dealing direct with wdw,and all previous requests could be dealt with.
However,in your circumstances- no,not with the hassle.

I have previously cancelled and rebooked car hire to save $100,with the same company, when prices dropped.:)

I try to avoid booking through 3rd party sites whenever possible. If there are problems with flights/hotels, it is much easier to get things fixed when I have control over the reservation.

I agree with all the advice not to rebook.:)

I rebooked with the Orbitz Spring sale, but it saved me about $100.00 from the Passholder rate,so I felt $100.00 was worth the hassle.:)

(JUST noticed you had some great DME info on another Thread.)

Really, you had to post this?

Even the most innocent of posts are not safe on the Dis anymore.
