Would you rather (first trip, flying, staying on site, family of four):

Arrive Sunday afternoon and leave Friday afternoon
OR
Arrive Monday afternoon and leave Saturday afternoon?

Thanks for any tips/info... this board has been SO helpful!

Crowds would likely be better on a Sun-Fri trip.

Sat is the busiest day by far

Plus it gives you recovery time if you have to return to work or school the following Mon

Whichever has the cheaper airfare. You can plan your parks around the crowds with RD and FP+.

I agree that a Sun-Fri would be better crowd-wise but I would also look at the EMH schedule and see which days have better options for your family.

Sun - Fri.

Mon-Thursday are the slowest days, and going Sunday thru Friday makes those all full days for you.

Optimally, I would choose Saturday - the following Sunday! :) The more days the better.

Resort rates go up on Friday and Saturday nights. Sun-Thur are cheaper. If the flights are the same for sat or sun (or within a few dollars) you might save doing a Sun arrival. I have done both and I like the Sunday arrivals.

I agree with the Sun-Fri, I'm actually in the process of booking such a trip for myself during F&G. Room rates are less and since I drive it gives me a whole weekend to recover before work on Monday.

I like arriving on a Sunday evening - nice to start the parks on a quiet Monday morning (as quiet as parks could possibly be :rolleyes2 )

Friday and Saturday stays generally cost more so arriving on Sunday and leaving on Friday takes care of this extra expense

Hahaha! I've managed to convince DH of an additional night... so will likely look at Sunday thru Saturday! Yay!
