We hate to go in the summer :( but it's the only chance we have to go back to WDW....

So, based on that... if you had to choose based on crowd levels,heat/humidity/discounted resort pricing (ie. Yacht Club), which of the 2 months (and what part of them) would you pick?

I think late August is going to be a no-brainer because so many kids are in school, but did read of big crowds this year with the free dining. Not sure if that will be in play next year or not.

That said, we'll be there from July 28th through August 11th since it was the only time we could fit in the schedule between sports and school!

I would go late August because of less crowds because most kids are heading back to school. The heat will be awful during both of these months, so just plan to have a lot of time to rest. Beat the crowds if you can't beat the heat! :thumbsup2

The weather is pretty much the same, so I would go during the last week of July to coincide with your DD BD. ALso, you'll be back in time to get ready for the new school year. Have a Magical time whatever you choose!

Since our kids began H.S. (we don't pull them out of school) we've always go the last 10 days before Memorial day. Last year the crowd levels were great. Never had more than a 20 minute wait on any attraction. Some of the attractions, like mission space were not even handing out FP's. The last Wednesday in August, Ernesto was supposed to hit and every one must have panicked because Epcot was so empty it was scary. Not that I wish a hurricane warning on any trip. :rotfl2: Get the water park option on your ticket and beat the hottest part of the day at the water parks.

Late August is the best time, we have been many times this time of year. Crowds are low because most schools in the south are back in school. Also, the last couple of years they have had free dinning. Yes it is hot, but with low crowds it's not that bad.

I think free dining has drastically impacted August crowd levels.

I would make it a birthday trip. She'll never forget it.

It's always a big deal for our boys when they get to be in WDW for their b'days.

4 words for you:

July = Brazilian tour groups.

Enough said.

I forgot about that one, those tours are :crazy: . Stay away from them!

If price is a major consideration, late August is going to give you more discounts as well as being a lower rate season (for Values and Moderates; deluxes change to the lower season on July 7). The down side to late August is the higher risk of hurricaines
