We're going to be in FL in June. Unfortunately, we just cans spend the extra for any park time. We're going for a conference. We still are planning on going to downtown Disney and hopefully riding the monorail around just to get a taste of Disney. I really want us to eat at O'Hana while we're there. It just holds special meaning for us. We've been both times we went to Disney and love it. I even recreated our own O'Hana night at home once. It's just so expensive. Just looking for opinions on what y'all would do. Thanks!
God bless,
Amanda

We are not doing any dining plan on our next visit and 'Ohana is a must do for us. So yes I would/will be paying OOP for it.

I wouldnt pay a penny OOP for Ohana. Not worth it. Just my opinion. Im probably in the minority thou.

My wife and I will be paying for food OOP on our next trip. We plan on giving Ohana a go since it's recommended to us by many people.

We always pay OOP for meals, we haven't done the dining plan yet; we are going to add it in the future at some point, but, we've always had to pay OOP. It's expensive for sure, but it seems like something you guys like to do.
You can easily spend more than that at a steak house.

Plus the monorail is right there too, so you can resort hop. Or watch Wishes from the beach.

If you don't feel like plunking down the $90 for dinner for two at 'Ohana, have some drinks at Tambu lounge and/or eat dinner at Kona.

:goodvibes

I'm going in June for a girls' trip, and I don't mind paying $42 for myself. However, I would't pay $84 if it was a trip with my DH. From my own previous experiences, I feel that their food is too inconsistent to drop $120 (after 2 drinks & tip). I'd take that money & enjoy an amazing meal at Artist Point instead.

For our family we would not. We went once and my adult dd and my ds both had to get something to eat afterwards. Now that ds is considered an adult that would be like throwing away $80. No experience is worth that. Me, dh and probably dd9 would enjoy it again but it won't happen unless it is free.

Guess I'm in the minority with Goofy. It's not worth it--to us. We were going OOP last year. This was our one & only TS as a result. Decided to splurge since I've always read so many glowing reviews of the place, and it gave us a good excuse to explore the Poly. Our family is myself, DH, DS(13 at the time) and DD (8.) The guys really liked it and still talk about it. DD is a small, picky eater so she doesn't count ;) I thought the experience was fine but I definitely would not do it again. Probably not even on a dining plan (still have to figure in a tip!) BUT--it sounds like it's a favorite for you so I guess go for it. It just wasn't that great to me and I would rather try someplace else for the $$$.

We always pay OOP for Ohana, since we never do the DDP and it's one of our favorite restaurants. I usually eat my own body weight in shrimp (DH says I'm part seagull) so it's well worth the money...

We are not using the DP in Nov and I am going to pay OOP for 'Ohana's . I don't think the cost is bad at all since you are basically getting an All-You -Can -Eat 3 course TS meal and beverage for the price

It is our favorite restaurant in WDW so YES I would pay OOP for it. Whenever the topic of WDW comes up, my DS9 ALWAYS brings up 'Ohana. :) We had a table right by the window and could see the Castle from our table so that really added to the magic.

I would vote yes, go for it. Its such a good time and strolling the founds and lobby before dinner is quite enjoyable as well.

Hilarious :)

Glad you get your money's worth. They are a little stingy with the shrimp, they always bring it last. I have to be more restrained with the first courses in the future and hold out for the shrimp. :lmao:
