Would you be willing for pay for VMK if the service improved. Less crashes. Better events, better customer service from the black hole.

I paid for the Disney Blast for my 4 year old way before I foudn VMK and tonight I was thinking that since Disney has that site and the Toon Town site wouldn't it be worth a little money to have it improved?

I am going to say yes. I enjoy the game so much that if they asked for a membership I would pay it. I wonder how many people would leave VMK. I know that some kids would be the mercy of their parents for that.

Of course if I paid for it then I would expect quite a bit more customer service for it.

I agree!

I would not mind a small monthly fee for better service, better events... and less crashing.

At least, when things did suck for a weekend, I would a) feel as if I had the right to be upset and b) threaten to cancel my membership LOL

but, I still dig that its free now

No, I would probably not pay. It's a really fun game and I enjoy it a great deal, and I really heart all my vmk friends, but when it comes right down to it I would probably not pay a monthly fee. I will however, go to Disneyland monthly. I guess I'd rather spend money on the real thing, than the virtual thing.

Sorry. But I would not pay for it. Even if it improved it's service.
Personally, I don't have the money for it. And I also don't pay for games unless it's something I can play on my own pc at anytime. And that's very rare.
My money needs to go to more important things.

I'd only pay if I knew I could play regularly. I go out of town/country and away from computers and internet for decent chunks of time too frequently to make it worth it to me. I'd miss out on more goodies than I already do and I wouldn't be able to make the most of my money.

Perhaps one day when I get my degree and take a slight breather, then I would pay for VMK and in fact, return to Disneyland for another visit to score quest goodies as well.

i would only pay if they used some form of credit card verification system, thereby proving i am an adult, and there was an adult vmk with no dictionary issues, along with the aforementioned improvements. Also more in game games to play, more ways to earn credits, etc.

in its current state, it really is like trying to play a game that is not complete, or with handcuffs on (not literally lol).

its a hard thing for me to say i would do, because the vmk i would be willing to pay for would be so vastly different from the top down (staff, service, features, etc) than the way it is now, it is a hard concept to even decide on.

Yes, I would pay for it. (ok, I am hooked) Just something to think about, look how long it took ToonTown to get to retail. That was a pay game.

I like this idea. It would also be nice to make it 24 hours for adults or for those who pay. But it would be super to eliminate the dictionary and to allow us to have conversations without the fear of a ban or worse: ###

I'm sorry, but I'm thinking based on some experience. VMK's budget comes out of the marketing department and I paid them many hundreds of dollars last month to go to the park and spent many extra dollars purchasing things I otherwise would not have if it were not for the game.
Also based on Disney's idea of perfection for all their parks I would say If it wasn't up to speed with Disney, it should not have been rolled out. I'm sure they had made their promises to the Board of directors and stock holders so out it came, ready or not.
I like playing the game but it is simply too restrictive for me to pay for it. I would simply turn to any number of computer games I could chose from. That is what I did befor VMK and that is what I would do if a fee was instituted. That and I would be less likely to return to Disney as soon. I hold a grudge on Corporations without a problem if they screw me.

I hate the idea of paying monthly fees for games. It would be so much nicer if I just had to pay a given amount once like buying a game at the store. I adored Toontown during beta but had to stop once they started charging. It made me sad. I would be sad if I had to stop playing VMK too.

I was thinking about this earlier. Have their been rumors about them charging? I was asking someone how they afford to run the game and pay staff without charging members or running ads. I assumed they made the money from park ticket sales and purchases based on getting VMK merchandise.

However, I would pay, because sadly enough, VMK has become a big part of my life (LOL at my patheticness)
I would pay under 2 circumstances:

1. If it's a reasonable cost. $5-10 a month, sure. $20-30 a month, no way.
2. Like everyone says, their customer service has to make a huge turn for the better before I will be willing to pay a dime. I feel bad right now berating them with negative emails, since it is a free service. But let me tell you, if we have to start paying, the emails will get uglier if things do not improve. I would not pay for vmk and the answer as to why is simple. I can use the money for other things such as saving up for WDW trips LOL  I would never spend money on a virtual game even if it is disney, I don't know, but somehow I feel like there is more to life than just computer games LOL.

No, I would not pay for it. The beauty of the site for me is that it is a free place where I can go and chat with friends (and make new friends) who enjoy Disney.

Furthermore, making it a pay site would defeat the entire purpose of VMK. It was designed as a marketing tool to get pre-teens and teens interested in the Disney parks. It is, in effect, a giant advertisement that just happens to be a lot of fun to play 90% of the time. (Aside from the occasional bad weekend.)

So, no. Keep it free.

Hard to say, it would depend on the amount of monthly or yearly charge of course. Would they charge this amount for each character you have? If so, that could really add up for a family that has several children playing. I agree with Moussedude on the dictionary, more ways to earn credits and more games. I enjoy playing the game and have met so many nice people but the price would need to be within reason.

I am not sure, never say no because when you do it comes back to bite you on the .....

But as it stands the way it is right now NO.

It is not just the fact that VMK can not run an event worth a crap. It also has to do with my not having a highspeed connection. While the game is fun to play and interact with friends most of the in game games I can not play due to having a dial up connection.

Making it a fee for play game I do not feel will help the problems that VMK is having anyway.

We think we are frustrated with VMK now just multiply that frustration 100 fold if we were paying to play. No thank you.

As addicted as I am to the game...I could live without it.

I think that I paid 50.00 for Disney blast for a year. I didn't mean a monthly fee but yearly.

I have not hears any rumors. This was just my own thoughts.
