Would you pay $100 for a bottle of wine?

I wouldn't pay $100 for a bottle of wine (but heck, on a date, if he's paying, I'm all for it!) but I would definitely pay $50 for a really nice champagne to commemorate a special occasion.

We have and would again for special occasions. I will say though that my favorite read-the-DIS-in-the-evening sipping wine is a bottle of $5.99 Papio Merlot (or monkey wine as I call it - it's a label thing, lol). I can enjoy either end of the spectrum. :hyper:

Sure, for special events or when I'm with people who appreciate a good wine. I won't open a $100 bottle of wine to drink by myself, or with people who aren't wine afficianado's though.

Normally I drink a couple of Chardonay's which run in the $15/bottle, or a merlot in the $25/bottle range.

:p Now that I'm a "grownup" and appreciate Reds , I can no longer drink white wine....and when i see someone drinking a Rose' ...I snicker.

I love Pinot Noir and my DH is a sworn Cabernet fan. WE're lucky to have two fantastic wine stores in our small city with great selections in the $13-16 range.:D

I have a collection of wine and most of them cost way more than that but 100 dollars for just wine to cook with maybe not.

If it is a special occasion of course. I have drank wine since I was old enough to color. My mom always served it with supper and so I got used to the taste. I love a good Merlot or Cabernet with most anything.

It is totally up to you. If you can afford it go ahead and splurge a little but do taste the wine first because just because it costs more does not mean it is better.

Depends on how big the bottle is :teeth:
