I think Peggy Sue was referring to an exclusively DVC cruise ship.

Aruba, Bahama, come on pretty momma....

I don't think there is a timeshare cruise ship of any kind. Someone tried to put together a condo type arrangement for a cruise ship but it never took off from what I hear. I doubt that either is workable or would be cost effective enough to make it work.

Here's an idea! How about one 7-day and one 4-day DVC-only cruise per year, on one of the existing ships, at really low points rates, to reward DVC owners for their loyalty? OK, I just woke up....I was dreaming.

CC is great but what about doing something in the Bahamas that totally smokes Atlantis? That's a cool property but imagine Disney doing up a place with that location.

I said "No".

If you take in the cost of such an undertaking and the amount of points needed to cover the vacancy rate (due to the remote location). I can't see ever wanting to go to it regardless of its location.

I believe a higher end local resort would be much more beneficial to DVC members as a whole, not to mention the actual owners of that resort. An "all grand villa" style resort on site at WDW would interest me MUCH more.

Just giving us more of the same thing and changing the location is lame. "Buy these, we'll make more" is getting pretty boring. We need something different to keep the feeling of excitement going when we have been owners for 30+ years.

Changing a theme/location only goes so far.

Anywhere in the Carribbean would be nice, except St. Maartin (too neglected).

St. John would be prestine!

Thanks :smooth:

Castaway Cay... That's the most logical. Disney already owns the island. Maybe they could do a cruise package with a couple of nights stay there on the island.
Or like someone else stated Fly into the island and stay for a week.

Mr. Cricket does have a point to. How about a Ski resort? There has been talk of that before. I wouldn't mind a tropical resort but I think something different would be nice to. There are ski resorts that we can use but one owned by Disney would be even better.

Hi, Lauretta!

Actually, I voted "no" because I bought DVC to stay in WDW. I have always loved WDW and now I have my grandchildren to take to experience the magic...as well as to give me more excuses to run down to the World!

(One other thing, we have timesharing in the Caribbean
already)

I would like to try the Cruise, though, you have made it seem so exciting and fantastic.

I agree. I also purchased DVC to stay at WDW. If I want to go to the Islands I can always use Interval International.

No, Disney Resorts should be drivable from Continental United States. Otherwise, exchanges should suffice. An exception would be attached to Euro or other Disney Park property.

Great Idea

We are closing on 200 points this week.:pinkbounc

We just came back from aweek Princess Cruise in the Caribbean.

Anywhere would be great.

We'll be down in Feb at BWV or OKW but our home is WLV.

We're bringing all the kids (all in their 20's) so we thought they'd like to be nearer nightlife.

I'm so excited about coming home
:bounce:

I voted "no" because I believe the economics of building, maintaining, staffing to Disney standards, and the costs of transportation to / from would make the costs very very high. Also, I think the insurance risk would be significant because of the hurricane possibility.

I would like to see a DVC resort on Bermuda, any Caribbean island, or any Hawaiian island.

Hawaii, the most beautiful islands on the planet.

A well-run timeshare here would do well. It is the only place I have been that has the same kind of Magic that I feel at Disney.

Jamacia really ANY island in the Caribbean would be okay we us! :earseek:

Aruba would probably make the most sense...seeing as the weather is almost always nice and little chance of a hurricane. Besides, its chock full of timeshares already.
