Would you keep a child home if he was badly sunburned?

Man! I really need to be careful and read the thread titles more carefully. When I first read your thread title, I thought it said, "Would you keep a child if he was badly sunburned?"

Well, of course, I'd keep the child! He'll eventually heal. He's not permanently damaged goods!

Whoops! Sorry! Never mind (as Rosanna Danna would say!)!

Yea, he might be a little overcooked, but I'd keep'em anyway!

Sorry about your son. My DD7's field day is tomorrow and I got a note saying to apply sunscreen, bring a water bottle and wear a hat because of the sun.

Will he be terribly disappointed if he misses FD? Could he go for a little while and then come home?

Good luck with your decision.

Lori

My kids schools usually don't say anything about sunscreens or anything like that , but I already put on sunscreen and bug repellent daily before they leave the house during the warm weather. You should see the ritual in the kitchen every morning, lol.
But also on field days I am usually there and I have everything with me.
