Would you go this week if hours are 10-8?

I'm thinking about taking an impromptu trip to Disneyland on Tuesday. Do you think it's worth it to go when the hours are only 10-8?

We're not worried about missing any parades/shows/etc.

I would, but I'm a huge fan of off-season days. That's still 10 solid hours of Disney time, which is a LOT, especially without the crowds to battle.

Have a blast if you go!

I would, it's nice to see the parks when they are slow. It can be relaxing or you can get in tons of rides.

I agree with the others - it's totally worth it. The hours are shorter because they anticipate the crowds will be lower, so while you have less physical hours in the park, you'll accomplish a lot more because of the small crowds. In other words, low crowds means you don't NEED as many hours :) Go for it!

It *also* means that you can still get to the security tables well before opening without having to wake up at the crack of dawn (something I'm looking forward to on our visit next Monday and Tuesday...our hours will also be 10-8).

Yes!! We are waking up at 3am (that's only 4 1/2 hours away! :scared1:) And driving on down for 5 nights of Disney fun. :D I'm excited and probably should be sleeping, but I've gotta get all the last minute stuffs done.

We love January in the parks, it's nice to just enjoy the mellowness after all the Christmas craziness and while the hours are shorter, it does make us actually slow down and get good sleep and ENJOY our vacation. :)

The first time we went when hours were short like that I was so worried we would be missing out on so much park time, but it actually was much better for us, it forced us to get to sleep early and after the parks closed at 8 we were able to enjoy DTD and other things, and it was so nice to be able to sleep in just a bit :)

We'll be there Tues, Wed, Thurs! We picked this week specifically because the crowds should be low. I can't wait!

We've been planning our trip for two years and this week was our first choice of dates. We love traveling at the end of January!

We too are going this week (so excited)! We've never been when the hours have been 10-8, so I'm looking forward to lower crowds!

I'm also looking forward to actually getting some sleep, we too usually stay in the park until closing and are up again at the crack of dawn for opening, so the reduced hours will be a nice change :)

I'm in agreement with everyone else. Yes! We visited in August, when hours were 8-12, and then again the first week of November, when they were 10-8.

November was so much more fun. We got on more rides in the shorter day, because the crowds were so low. And we were tired at the end of the day, but not absolutely exhausted. It was perfect.

ok good, hopefully things will work out for us this week! We went on Rosh Hashannah a couple years ago when the hours were 10-8 and it was really crowded (but all of the schools had the day off...).

Who is Rosh Hashannah? I Kid! ;)

To answer your initial question: Hell yea I'd go!

10 Hrs of DL > Work

I love love love 10am - 8pm park hours. No stressing getting up early to get to the parks for opening. No stress "having to" stay up past "bed time."
