Would you find this funny?

Not interested in getting into the debate about being overweight, just wantd to share this www.cafepress.com with ya'll. I just found it last night, so if it's old news never mind. There's some of the best t-shirts, coffee mugs & bumper stickers.

I want "No, I will not fix your computer" for my DH. (Everybody is always calling him for computer advice) And for me I want "You can't scare me, I do daycare"

ENJOY!

How comes that it is obvioulsy OK for an XXL-person to make fun of an attractive person. :confused3

This upsets me too. The comments on this thread about skinny people lightening up and having a bar of chocolate  .. what's all that about? :confused3

Or, maybe they are ill. In fact, I think it's far more likely that someone is underweight through illness rather than overweight.

Whenever I see someone who is frighteningly thin or obese, I just worry about them, to be perfectly honest.

Sandcass.....I love that web-site...

I just found the best one to describe how I feel about this thread...

"I refuse to have a battle of witts with an unarmed person.." :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Love it.... :rotfl:

WOW

what was originally a funny thread turned into a downright nasty one. Some things on the DIS NEVER EVER CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the internet, no one knows you so you can be downright nasty to anyone you so please. On the same note, you could be downright nice too.

Maybe some pamprin would help! (oops, maybe I just started a new nasty debate on how nasty it is to mention a ladies monthly!)

Yep it always does this when someone has to throw in their $0.02 about weight.

You know, it really dosen't matter if your thin or fat. If you like how you feel about yourself, then forget about what other people think.

There will be no convincing those who think that all fat people are lazy slobs who have no control over thier apetiet. They all sit on their butts and eat dunkin donuts all day.

You will never convince them that you can be larger and healthy, because they will never see past their own pre-conceived notions.

Frankly be happy with who you are. Love what you have been given and make the best of your life. Those who involve themselves in others to the point of narrow mindedness need to get a frelling life. :stir:

:lmao:

Are you assuming that a fat person couldn't possibly know what being thin is like? Before my thyroid went out of whack, I weighed between 125 and 130. I "fit" and walked quite a few miles in a thin person's shoes.

I'm still the same person, just in a different shell. I wasn't smug and self-righteous about my size when I was smaller, and even back then I called people out on their bigotry.

The girl I was referring to in my OP might be "attractive" for all of two minutes until she opens her mouth and spouts her nonsense. Attractiveness needs to be developed from the inside first.

I would definitely laugh with you. If I had the nerve I would wear something like that too. You know just because we are Pooh sized doesn't mean no one would ever find us attractive. Some people really do need to get over themselves!

Very well said.

Heaven forbid if fat people learn to accept and love themselves, and not stay home hiding themselves away in shame.

The same people who are so self righteous about the obese are the same ones who will see a fat person out walking and will yell something nasty out the car window. Or they'll see him/her struggling at the gym and make rude remarks. "Shoot me if I ever look like that" comes to mind. Well, give me a lobotomy if I ever THINK like that, thank you very much!

Laughter of oneself is essential.

Too much seriousness in the world today.

Enjoy! :sunny:

I agree! That's the whole point of it. :teeth: I never took myself that seriously when I was thin OR fat. I guess I just can't relate to those who do.

So why are you smug and self-righteous now? :confused3
Go and get that Tee - but first do something to derserve it!!!

Viking, I didn't find Marseeya's post smug and self-righteous. Please elaborate.

Just wanted to say that alcoholism and eating disorders are both classified as mental disorders. That's said, not everyone who drinks alcohol is an alcoholic. Not everyone with an eating disorder is overweight or obese (anorexia and bulimia are also eating disorders). And not everyone who is obese has an eating disorder.

No emotion, no opinion, just facts.

Oh puhleeze, "deserve" it? :lmao:

What are you, the tee shirt police? :rotfl2: Are you going to go around and make sure that everybody who wears something with an intelligent or witty saying has the brain power to back it up? What level of attractiveness -- er, I'm sorry, "thinness" because we all know that only thin people are attractive -- do I need to be before I "deserve" to have a sense of humor?

Smug and self-righteous? :rotfl2: I don't think so. Snarky, cynical, sarcastic, self-effacing or confident? Sure.
