Would you extend for an extra day under these circumstances?

Hi all,

We are currently booked at Boardwalk Villas in a 1BR from April 12-19, then Saratoga in a studio from April 19-26. I just checked the airfare again, and I can switch to arrival on Friday, April 11 and save $148 on airfare. I checked an AP rate at Pop and they have a preferred room for $120. Would you extend the extra day, or just leave it be?

It looks overall like you would save about 20.00, and get an extra night at disney! If it were me I would do it! Even if it is just a relax night..............

i would add an extra day under any circumstances . actually saving money by doing so & there's no question: go on friday

with us at least, we are normally a bit tired the first day (getting up early, the excitement, etc), & it takes the first day to acclimate ourselves to being on vacation. even if the friday flight is a bit later, you will start saturday morning well rested, & ready to begin your vacation.

Will the moving around be a pain, though? It will be just me and a 2 and 6 year old. We'll be at Pop the one day. I guess the next day we just get bell services to transfer our luggage to Boardwalk Villas? How does all that work? OH, one more thing. I can also get a preferred room at All Star Sports for $109, $10 less than Pop. Should I take that instead? I never stayed at Sports before, just Pop, and it's just the one night. Thoughts?

bell services will move your luggage (very easy). just have eveything packed & ready for them, check-in at the BWVs, & go to EPCOT or DHS (b/c they are both very close) for the day. it's possible, but unlikely, that your room will be ready at check-in, so just go to the park, & call from your cell.
i've never stayed at the values, so i can't help regarding which is "best". a $10 difference really isn't much IMHO; i would probably show the kids each resort & let them pick.

I know what you are saying about moving....I hate it!! BUT to be at Disney a whole day earlier, it would be worth it

as for saving the $10, stay where you want to stay

I've stayed at both Sports and Pop and I prefer Pop.

Thanks all. I officially did it. Cancelled and rebooked the flights. I now arrive in Orlando bright and early 10:30AM on FRIDAY instead of at 12:30 PM Saturday. WOOHOO!
