Would you eat candy shaped like an insect?

I bought my DD this new Harry Potter inspired candy today at the grocery store. One of the items is coackroach clusters. They are chocolates in the shape of a cockroach. When she saw them, she said they were cool, but she probably wouldn't eat them!

Yeah, I'd probably eat them as long as I knew (and was guaranteed) that there were no insects used in the making of the candy!!!!!

Ewwww! Actually this reminds me of something Dh and I watched on either the Travel Channel or Unwrapped once about this candy store that actually buys worms and uses them when they make their candy. For example you can go there and get a clear sucker (clear so you can see thru it) with worm in the middle! It was crazy but apparently very popular in that area.

I found it!!! At www.bulkcandystore.com they have all this gross stuff for sale. It's by Hotlix I think and they have different flavored Worm Lollipops with real worms. They have Scorpion Lollipops with real edible scorpions. They have Sour Cream and Onion crickettes and Cheddar Cheese Larvetts. And more! Check it out. I could not make this up. BTW, how'd you like to find one of those in your stocking?

These aren't made with real insects, they are only shaped like them DD says they are too creepy looking to eat!

...had to think about it, but yeah. I'd eat that. but no crickets. I have a death fear of crickets. even chocolate ones.

as long as i was SURE no real bugs were in it. if it was pure chocolate, sure. maybe not if it looked really cool, then i might save it. i have a gummy rat i saved because it looked pretty real aside from being pink.

If the room was really dark and I couldn't see what they looked like...then, yep, I would.
