Would you do Hoop or another 2 credit meal?

We will be paying OOP for Cindy's so I'd like to schedule a 2 TS meal during our Christmas trip. I was thinking the HDDR might be good for a family of 5...DH, myself, DS6 and twin DSs 2. We were thinking of trying for HDDR on Christmas day.

I'm wondering how many of you would use 2 TS credits that way with small children. Is there a better option for us that might make a good Christmas Eve or Christmas Day dinner? I really have no experience with the signature restaurants.

We just used 2 credits for HDDR for the first time and we loved the show and feel it was worth it. We are actually returning again next year and will be booking HDDR again with 2 credits. If you have ever eaten at Trails End Buffet it is the same food.

It is worth 2 credits, but you shouldn't spend them.

2 credit meals = $80 (and you would only have 2nd class seating at the Hoop de doo.

Front row seats at the hoop are $58.99

I would pay $80 to see it because I think it is worth it, but why do it if you don't have to?

To the PP--I'm not sure how the amount of $80 is determined. It's 2 TS credits not 2 full days worth of the DDP (CS, TS and snack). Is that how the $80 is figured?

We did this last year, and thought it was worth it. I planned our meals and didn't feel the need to squeeze every penny out of the dining plan, just to do what we would like and enjoy. It's still a wonderful value! At the time our DD was only 2 yrs 10 months so she was free, making it an even better deal for our family.

Now that the seating is tiered, I might consider paying OOP to have some control over where we sit.

Probably we wouldn't switch it for another 2 TS, but would do 2 different 1 TS meals.
