FWIW, when I've been solo, they've paced my food to my own pace rather than the pace of the larger tables. So it's never a long, drawn-out thing unless I wanted to make it drawn out.

I don't mind dining by myself in the buffet, but I prefer to share a table with others when eating in the main dining room.

Most of our college roommates were strangers. A cruise is much shorter!

Same with me. If someone at the table is running late, they don't make me wait for these people that are not with me. The servers on the DCL are amazing.
