Would you buy tickets from a ticket vendor?

I've used few different vendors and haven't had an issue. Like mentioned just make sure they are Mouse approved.
On The Hub there is a list of all the authorized off-site vendors. And if they operate under more than one name it lists all the names they operate under. This list is not for Public Release. However, from time to time people have asked about a particular vendor and I have looked at the list and reported if they are or are not on the authorized list, which is an allowable action.

Yes, I have used several vendors that are Mouse authorized, not just UT. Currently UT offers some of the best deals. A nice thing about UT, is their refund policy. I've not needed to request a refund, but it's nice to know they have one. Another rnice thing abot UT is they send a copy of the ticket numbers with the tickets. Having a copy of the numbers is handy in case you lose the actual tickets, that is, if you keep a copy of the numbers in a different place than the actual tickets. (Once you open the packet, no refunds) If you ever lose WDW tickets, all you need to get the tickets replaced is that number. Without it though you may be out of luck.

Maple leaf Tickets is another vendor I've used in the past.

There's also a place called Kissimmee Guest services. I've never tried them, but supposedly they are also an official ticket vendor. I think you have to go to the office (in Kissimmee) to get the tickets.

Another resource to consider is AAA if you have a membership. You can go in person to your local office. You can also go to the Orlando area office(s)- but they aren't open on weekends. I've never tried buying them in Orlando, but we drove past one last time.

Also, be aware, there are a number of places in Orlando that advertise Discount tickets, but many are really timeshare tours. I've never done one, but they don't generally have a solid reputation as being worthwhile. A few of the big companies may be legitimate and hold to their claims, but many are high pressure tours that go way over the two hours they promise.

Never buy from Ebay, I have personal experience with this! My husband and I purchase a lot from Ebay, so when he wanted to go to US during our honeymoon trip to WDW I saw I could save a few bucks on the tickets. The guy had a good rating (I always check before purchasing). Tickets came, and everything looked fine. Got to the park and my ticket was accepted, DH's wasn't! We were questioned as to where we got the ticket by security. They just made us buy another ticket (I was able to use mine). I ended up getting a refund from the guy I bought the original ticket off of, but still I would NEVER buy tickets from Ebay again.

I did buy ours from UT this time, but only b/c mousesavers and DIS recommends them and I was buying 20 tickets, so it saved me a good bit of money!

Thanks everyone! I thought I was subscribed to mousesavers, but I guess that was an old email address. Off to check out UT and the above mentioned all about WDW tickets post.

If you need just one or 2 tix, it's just as easy to get them whereever you feel like. If you have a lot to buy, then, as the PP said, you actually 'feel' the savings :)

i just used UT for the first time and was able to save some good money with them. i would have no issue using them in the future and would recommend other people to use them as well. i would not go through ebay for something like this since you never know really what you are going to get.

Too much counterfiet going on out there. We gassed up at a gas station this summer and this creepy guy approached me wanting to know if I wanted to buy Disney, Sea World, or Universal tickets. I told him we already had ours and then he went into his talk about us selling back the remaining portion of our ticket. I took his info and left it in the rental car for the next person to have. :) With all the stories on Ebay and in Florida of counterfiet tickets, I don't trust anyone anymore. We only purchased through Disney or through AAU when attending an AAU sponsored event at the WWoS.
