Lets say you have a chance to buy a new le pin. It is an Le of 500
and it is only $10. However, it is the ugliest pin you have ever seen or it is a very obscure character you have never heard of.
Would you buy it? How many would you buy? Why would you buy it?

I'd consider it. One man's trash is another man's treasure. It nothing else, it might make a good trader. I'd probably just get one though.

Oooohhhh! That's a tough question, Joy!

I think about an LE 500 I had....The Black Heritage pin from 2001. Oy. That was the rustiest nail I"ve ever owned.

I'm not so sure I would jump on it without some qualifying info.

Is there a character on the pin? If so, which one?

Does it commemorate a specific event? (And this is not a great qualifying question...see my example above. )

I would probably have a hard time buying a pin that I think is ugly unless I knew ahead of time that either someone I know wants it or it will probably be a good trader. I had an offer to buy the current cruise pins from the RSP. Most of the pins did not jump out at me :), but I ordered a pin that I knew from pinpics some of my pin trading friends from here want. Does this make sense? However, Joy, if you think you might be able to trade it, then go for it!

I don't have a pin like that, heck I can't see the ds getting anything like that any time soon. I was think I am really trying to find out if people ever buy pins just because they are a low edition pin? It is just a food for thought question. As for me, I never buy anything I don't like because I would get stuck with it!

Yes
But I do like unusual pins. Some pins others think are ugly, I really like! :)

Does LE 1000 Little Burrito ring a bell ???? People went crazy for it but don't see many people wanting it now.
Pin 11493: DLR - Cinco de Mayo 2002 (The Burrito)
and it was a 6.50 pin.
