I decided to go in the middle of each and get a 110 point contract with subsidized dues at Aulani that wasn't quite as expensive as BLT. What we really love even more than the parks is DCL/ Castaway Cay and we already plan to be making the trip to Aulani soon. This way, we can own DVC to get us to Hawaii and use our parents' DVC for WDW. If we ever don't want to make the flight to Aulani, we can see what we can get at 7 months for WDW. I feel like this way, all of our vacation needs are truly covered and we can own a small amount of our own points to play with
