would you break the bank for La Nouba?

we've never experience anything like that and I'd only need two tix, for my DD and me. But this is our first time on site so that's jacked up the cost, we're staying ten days, that's jacked up the cost. Is it so out of this world it's not to be missed? or I know we can find plenty of great things to do that we've already paid for. Haven't told DD about it.

we did do Blue Man Group one year with my children, my brother and my parents and it was a wonderful family moment. Everyone had a blast, even cranky dear old dad. Never saw him laugh so much. So I'm willing to spend to make memories but this trip needs to be more budget conscious.

We loved it!! If you have never been to a Cirque show, then this is a great one to start with. I did it with my DD in 2007 and we have seen 6 other shows, even flying to Vegas for the weekend to get in a couple more. Well worth the money for us.........

However, they do have a video of La Nouba so for much less money, you could always get the DVD and check it out. Then if you don't like the kind of performance it is, you won't waste hundreds on tickets.

We loved it. No binoculours needed. You can try signing up for their newsletter thing and sometimes get discounts.

Honestly though, we could never have sat through it after a day at the parks. We are EXHAUSTED after touring all day.

We went to the show when we were in Orlando for a non-Disney trip. While my 7 year old DS loved it, he would have been just as happy with the parks so don't feel like you HAVE to fit it in!

You only need two tickets, you're there, you don't have to drive to the show, park, or pay to park. If you've never been to a cirque show, do it this trip!

The TravelZoo Deal was $49 I think. Just sign up on the website with your email. They don't send emails that often and the deals are usually pretty good.

I wouldn't "break the bank" for it.

A 10 day Disney vacation should already be filled with fabulous memories. If it is a stretch, it just doesn't seem necessary to do something else incredibly costly.

If you find an amazing deal, then it could be worth it (but me personally, I think I'd be too tired...)

I would say try to see it at least once. We did last summer, it was our third trip in five years and wanted to do something different. Even older DS (then 12) was amazed and it takes a lot to get a reaction out of him these days, lol. During that trip, we also went to Universal and Seaworld, so the theme was "let's have a different trip than the first two" and La Nouba fit in with that. It was actually our first time even going to Downtown Disney.

My daughter LOVED La Nouba. I think she was about 15 at the time. I did not love it, but I knew going in that it wasn't my kind of a show. However, on this particular trip, we were there for 10 days/9 nights so weren't exhausted and could free up the nights, there was a Disney VISA discount, and DD had been asking about going for a long time. I knew she'd love it, so it was worth it. We sat pretty high up, which was fine because much of the show takes place in the air. In fact, I felt badly for the people who'd paid a much higher price for "better" tickets; they spent so much time looking UP that I was sure they'd have stiff necks in the morning!

SO… it seems like you have plenty of time while at Disney, the travel zoo deal is a good price, and your DD wants to go- so I'd go for it!

I already subscribe to Travelzoo and get orlando deals but didn't get that one, bummer. I searched for it but couldn't get it. I'll keep my eyes open for a deal.

I last saw La Nouba in 2010.

I felt it was/is worth it because:
- it is a good CDS starter show
- CDS shows for the first time will always make your jaw drop
- watching this particular show on DVD (I have it) does NOT match the awe you feel in person
- It is so easy to get to in DTD and a nice break from the parks

Any cons:
- If you have seen other CDS shows, I feel many are better than this particular one (but that does not take away from the fact it still is great!)

Have you seen a Cirque show before? If so, I would say skip this one. It's ok, but I wasn't overwhelmed by it.

We did it. I had a 17 yr old DD and a 13 yr old DS with ADHD. They both loved it. We were almost in the last row middle section and could see everything. There didn't appear to be a bad seat. I have been to Vegas and never did any shows. I have been to Broadway only 1 show, The Lion King. I would not go to La Nouba again but it was nice. I would do The Lion King again. But since my kids loved it and it held my son's interest it gets my endorsement.

I saw it twice in the last 2 years. The first time we were right next to and almost on top of the stage up close was awesome. Decided to see it again last year and we chose to sit further back and take it in from that point of view. Both times it took my breath away. Great show IMHO

We enjoyed it. We got cat 2 seating to save a little money and were quite pleased with the seats. It's the only Cirque show we have seen but I would definitely go again.

We've usually stayed off site and brought my big old mac book. then one year we got by on just my iPhone. But I think I'm buying a new Nook that's a tablet (I don't know how good). So maybe I'll just bring that. what do you bring?
