Would you be comfortable with an ADR on arrival day if you arrive 1:15?

We plan on getting an ADR our arrival night at WCC or Ohanas, then heading over for the spectromagic and wishes. I need to decide which one, since I can call tomorrow AM!

We arrive at 4:25 on our arrival day which was just too late to consider an ADR for us. I'd be stressing on the first day of our trip if we were late. We are just going to head to DTD to WPE for our first dinner. We thought this was a good option as as its CS we dont have to panic.

We usually have something booked om arrival day. I would do something close to the resort and if by some chance the plane is delayed, you can cancel them.

We did HDDR on our arrival day last year. We had the first dinner seating. Our plane touched down around 9:30am, but our room was not ready until 3:00 on the dot! That made for a bit of stress since I had only packed swimwear and odds and ends in the carry-on. DS just HAD to ride Pirates after the dinner, so we wound up being in MK until closing. Got up the next morning for rope drop. We're always too excited to be tired!

Since your kids are so young, I would not plan an ADR that first day at WCC. I would plan an ADR at MK - maybe Crystal Palace with the pooh characters - and then spend time at MK. That would save you from having to get from your hotel to WL and then from WL to the park. You coould just go straight to the park from your hotel. We are doing a similar thing on our trip. Arriving around 3, reservations at O'hana's at 6:30, and then on to MK. I'm not sure I would do it if my kids were young.

I usually end up regretting doing a TS on arrival day. Even when we get there early afternoon, we find ourselves famished and want to eat right away. So we end up doing a big counterservice and aren't hungry for dinner. And pushing the TS dinner later usually backfires because we're too tired from getting up early to travel. We've decided to wing-it on arrival day.

For a late arrival day like that we prefer to go to DTD, shop and have dinner and get a early nights rest so we can hit the parks at rope drop

LOL this is a different strokes thing - I LOVE to shop but I HARDLY call going to DTD relaxing - I would find getting to WL for a dinner far easier than being in the MOBS of people that are DTD at night.

I honestly don't consider coming in at 1:15 and likely arriving at the resort by 3ish a late arrival - I would definitely plan on the WCC ADR and then see how you feel about doing the fireworks and spectro.

Have fun.
