I wouldn't leave my home because of y neighbors. You nee to stop thinking of them as "family" and start thinking of them as neighbors. If you had neighbors that you didn't like, you'd have as little to do with them as possible. So do the same with ouyr DH's family.

You say they don't have much to do with you unless they ened something...I'd keep it that way, I wouldn't seek them out, and I'd probably be a little less "available" for favors too, but I'm "witchy" that way!
