Would They Notice If I Just Didn't Leave?

I'm really looking forward to our trip coming up at the end of Oct. So much so that it makes working difficult. I find myself drifting off and imagining myself at the resort, or at the pool just lounging around. Then I come back to reality and it sucks. I was just wondering if they would notice if I just didn't leave the room at the end of our trip? I'll just put out a "Do Not Disturb" sign. That should be good enough right?

Or, maybe I could get a doctors note saying I'm not allowed to leave?

Let me know if it works for you and I'll do the same in November!

LOL! Well on our first DVC trip, someone did just that! They left their suitcases in the room and came back later after the room was cleaned and "used" it a bit again.... Then they continued to leave their suitcases there after we were assigned the room. Needless to say, they had a little "extra charge" on their credit card after that!:)

Good luck with that! ("You can say I'm a dreamer. . . ")

Mousekeeping is usually knocking on my door way before 10 a.m. on my check-out day (and I think I might have had the sign on the door).

Hey, let me know if it works... :thumbsup2

I KNOW!!!! :headache:
I think on our last trip they knocked at our door around 8am... I was thinking ...what the heck! I have another 3hrs before you have to kick me out...

.....I have wanted to do this very thing. Maybe the next trip....:thumbsup2

Housekeeping and management might not notice, but the next guests to use your villa will notice!! That's what happened to us a few years ago at BWV. We were given a one bedroom villa that was just not acceptable to us (first and last time that ever happened to us). So, the front desk gave us keys to another one bedroom villa. Went to it, opened the door and what do we see??? Toys and clothes everywhere. Shut the door quickly and back down to the lobby. The manager tells us that is impossible...the villa had been listed as 'open'. So, he goes back up with us...he opens the door, and of course, sees the exact same thing. He sends us back to the lobby. He comes back down and tells us that evidently the current guests had decided to stay for another night!!! My issue was that housekeeping had keyed that room in as 'ready for occupancy'. Hmmmmm.
We did get a credit applied to our room account, which I tried to turn down. No harm, no foul. And it makes for a great story.
But...obviously, some guests do decide to hang around, past their checkout day.

I always hate thinking about check-out day!! :sad1:I want to be like that woman who sailed the Queen Mary back and forth and never got off the ship. Only this would be to never leave Disney!
