I plan on bringing my DS on holiday to America - Animal Crossing demands that I be on it every day or all hell breaks loose. Problem is, charging the thing if runs out when we get there.

It's NOT a matter of plugging it in; you can buy lots of 2 to 3 pin connectors here already; but it is actually getting enough voltage to get it charging, due to the whole voltage difference in the states meaning that we won't have enough to get it moving.

Is there any way of stepping up the voltage so I can get it charge? Any tips would be very welcomed, but be quick; we leave on Thursday!

Both our sons took their DS's last year and did not have a problem charging them at all.

Ditto. You shouldn't have a problem.

When we did it we didn't have a charge light on at all when we tried to do it; not sure why though?

Edit: It's either the hotel in Disney's wiring, the 2 to 3 pin connector being faulting or the voltage (kinda restating the question huh?)

To charge our moblie phones we bought a power adapter whilst in America. We already had the pug adapter so just asked the shop assistant. It wasn't too expensive and worked really well :thumbsup2

Matt my daughter took hers when we went to the Pop last year and had no problem charging it at all with an adaptor we brought from home, hope you find it as easy :thumbsup2

do you not have the travel charger that comes in the essentials pack it takes 4AAA batteries so you can take a few packs of them and all is solved incase it don't work on that voltage
