:goodvibesWell, I finally made the leap to join this century and got a smart phone. We're with T-mobile so it's a droid, the Samsung Galaxy S 4g. I've spent the last day trying to learn how to use the darn thing, love it but like anything new there's a definite learning curve. :goodvibes

As with many of you, I'm always planning for our next WDW trip so I would like to get a Disney World App...any suggestions would be appreciated. There are several out there, so I would love any input on which one you use and how you like it. thanks bunches

I love WDW Lines.
It lets me keep up with the parks hours, parade, fireworks and entertainment schedules, plus up to the minute wait times from other users currently in the parks.
It's by the touringplans.com people, so there are touring plans in the app as well.
It's clean and simple- easy to use.
And I love peeking at wait times even when I am not in the park- just a little bit of magic at home. :thumbsup2

subscription to touringplans.com, they have a mobile app that is very cool! Sorry just saw the last post, mine is for Lines also!

Thanks, I'll check it out tomorrow! I'm very excited about my phone, but feeling a little overwhelmed right now. I know I'm gonna love it though.

You will love it. It is indeed overwhelming to start- especially since you are coming from a "regular old" cell phone.

I just got my 2nd Droid last week- the Bioinc- and it has 4G too. I am noticing a huge leap in speed in the areas that have 4G (and that is growing rapidly!).

Have fun, don't be afraid to play around and try out apps. There are so many free apps out there- just choose the ones with the most stars as a starting base. Or use boards like here or the androidforums.com to learn what other people are doing. The android forums can be a bit intimidating- there are a LOT of very techie phone geeks on there ;) - much like I would imagine a Disney newbie taking a peek in here :rotfl2:

If you do a search, think there are a few old posts on this board with good app ideas. (many of the iphone apps are also available for droid)
I know many of the people here have iphones, but the Droid is a wonderful phone and not at all a substitute for an iphone!!! We have Verizon. My DH has an iphone, but I prefer Droid! :upsidedow

wdwscout, Thanks for the words of encouragement, I am a little overwhelmed with my droid right now. I'll keep plugging away and playing with it, as you suggest...I'm sure in a few weeks I'll wonder how I ever got along without it.
