Wouldn't bother me at all. I love to walk through cemetaries - so peaceful. Plus it's neat to find old headstones. It's a whole lot of history in one place.

It wouldn't bother me at all, I wish I had such quiet neighbors!

Those would be the best neighbors you could ever hope for! I think it would be cool..:smooth:

I would rather live in a bad neighborhood than overlooking dead bodies... srry::MickeyMo

Doesn't bother me a bit;) . I've got a cemetery across the street. It's a cute, old New England cemetery, withsome Revolutionary War graves in it. They still have a few open "spots" (as a matter-of-fact, DH and I own a plot!), so there are still burials there now.

I actually find it very peaceful and serene. It also gives one a great perspective on life. All those people living their lives for many years, doing what they thought were important things, and the world goes on without them.

My uncles house was next to the cemetary and my grandma lived with him. They didnt mind. They kept saying, mama is buried there so I guess it comforted them. They did say at night sometimes they knew teens would hang out and party in there, but also the plus was those were the neighbors that didnt complain, they were always the quiet ones.:teeth:

I don't know if it would bother me or not. If it's a creepy looking, horror movie, negelected looking one, it might.

But maybe it would be a pretty one? ::yes::

Nah, It wouldn't bother me.

Personally, some of the most peaceful times in my life have been at my mother and father's gravesite back home in SC. I sat there for quite a bit talking to them and letting them know what was going on in my life. Talked about my good times and my bad, talked about things they did to make me mad, talked about things they did to make me happy. :D Before I was where I am now with the Father, graveyards used to spook me out too...now that I know better, they don't phase me a bit. :D

It's not just overlooking a cemetery that bothers me but all the funerals that would obviously take place. No, it's not for me - quiet neighbours or not!

I’ve lived about a block away from a cemetery most of my life, and it’s never really bothered me. We used to play in there when I was a kid! Several of my relatives are buried there (including my father), and I probably go in there once a week to tend to their graves. Sometimes, we go there looking for deer – there’s about a dozen that live there. (The next time I go, I’m going to bring the camcorder in case I see any – that probably sounds weird.) Of course, I also drive by the cemetery a couple of times a day. For the most part, it doesn’t bother me –maybe because I have family buried in there or because I’ve grown up with it. Although I do remember one occasion when I had gone in there later than usual. So it was darker than usual (plus, no street lights), and not many people around. An attendant (security guard?) came and told me it was time to leave. He had already locked the gate so no one else would enter, so he had to open the gate to let me out. It was a bit spooky.
