Would I be able to borrow from 2010 in this scenario

I thought I understood this but now I'm in a position to borrow (how quickly did that happen )..I'm not so sure....

I have a March use year. I've got only about 5-2008 pts left. We want to plan a trip in Feb of 09 and then again in Oct of 09.

For Feb I would need call now and borrow from 09 and pray we are able to go..very risky trip points wise....anyways...

For the Oct 09 trip my SIL is taking about going so we would be looking for a 2bd... I would be making the reservation in nov of 08..using the rest of the 09 points but then can I borrow from 2010? (even though I'm making the res in 08? but traveling during my 09 use yr?)

They go by your travel date, not the booking date when it comes to borrowing. Hope that helps.

Yes you can. I also have a March UY and borrowed points from 2010 for a May 09 ressie. At first MS got all confused and told me I couldnt book it, put me on hold, then she came back and booked it.

I am always borrowed out 1 year ahead. I figure 1 year we will not be able to go

You look at the use year the date of stay is in. With a March use year, a Feb 09 trip would be in your 2008 use year, so you could borrow 2009. An Oct 09 trip would be in your 2009 use year, so you could borrow 2010.

If my Use year is August. Can I borrow from 2010 to make my August 2009 reservation. I think if memory serves I can do this???

An August 2009 stay would be in your 2009 use year (8/1/09 to 7/31/10), so you can borrow 2010.
