They are 8 and 10. We are already doing Tusker House, and was planning on pre-opening ADR at CP, but they just changed the hours on us. If I am not getting in before opening, I don't want to bother trying to get there that early, since we will be up late that night, as well. I am even thinking of trying a 9:45 Kona Cafe, instead.

Advice please? Thanks!

If they like characters they should like 1900 PF :) My DS's were younger when we went, almost 5 and 8, but they had a good time. The characters aren all girly-Eeyore, Pooh, Mad Hatter. Alice and Mary Poppins are always very good with boys IMO.

Plus, since you aren't doing CP now, you'll still get Pooh and Eeyore if you do PF breakfast :thumbsup2

the breakfast is usually mary poppins (sorry typos)

dinner is cinderella and her family the step sisters are a riot i love them

I would ask them if they even care about meeting the listed characters and ask if they would want to wake up early for a character meal. If they have no desire, you can get a great breakfast at Kona later in the morning.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised that they said that they would like to do some character meals. DH is not getting what the big deal is about the CP breakfast, but I was so excited about being in before opening, plus if we are going to get up that early, we are are going to be riding the rides, dangit! I don't mind getting out of the restaurant 15 or 20 min after opening maybe, but not spending the first hour plus, and then walking out to a crowd. Especially since I hear kind of mixed reviews on CP food itself.

I can see the draw for an early CP ADR. PF was the first character meal we had in WDW on our first trip and while I don't remember the quality of the character interaction, I do recall how DD, who was 7 at the time, was upset after meeting Mary. She thought she would be meeting Julie Andrews!:)

'Ohana had great character interaction but we were disappointed in the food. If you have a car, the Four Seasons has a character breakfast w/Goofy, Mickey, and Minnie on Thursdays and Saturdays... Tuesdays added during busy holiday seasons.
