Fair to partly cloudy, thank you very much.

I have a few days with more free time than I've had lately (which explains my DISBoards posting increase over the last couple of days). We're one of the firms working on a large office complex near D.C. Our drawing package went out yesterday to the firm handling overall project coordination, and they're meeting with the owner tomorrow. I won't have any comments or changes on our drawings until late tomorrow or Thursday morning, so for now I'm groovy!

If your daughter has more questions about being an architect, feel free to PM me whenever. With summer coming up, you (or your daughter's high school guidance counselor) could call up some of the local architectural firms and try to set up a 'job shadow' for a day or two with one of their employees. I'm good friends with a high school guidance counselor, and she sends her interested kids to our firm every so often. We get one or two every summer. Your daughter might even get a free lunch out of it (that's what we do).

Right now I'm fixing some goofy little technical things that came up in switching our drawings between MicroStation (what we work in day-to-day) and AutoCAD (what the rest of the design team is working in). Exciting? No, not really. But it will be TOO exciting (for me) if I can't solve them before the final deadline...

I was actually offensive in two separate threads yesterday - that's a new record for me... Check 'em out - imsorry's "why can't men load the paper in the copier" thread and my own "Mid-size SUV" poll/thread.

She was really excited because a few weeks ago she was able to go with a few other students from her school to downtown Raleigh. All the local schools had this bridge construction contest and the winners all came together. She thought it was way cool. That's a great suggestion about talking to her counselor.

I saw those threads and you weren't offensive. You were hysterical on the paper jam thread and some people just need to lighten up regarding your SUV thread.
