What was your worst vacation?
Where did you go?
Why was it so horrible?

My worst vacation was my trip to the UK in 2005.
It was horrendous from the start.
On the way to SFO, it was torrential downpour, and you could hardly see where you were driving. It was so scary.
The plane to Detroit wasn't bad; my best friend Chelsea and I were in the bulk-head so she could stretch out (she's 6'1"), and we played monopoly.
The plane to London was THE worst flight I've ever taken in my entire life, and I've had some pretty horrible flights. I was in the middle of a 2-6-2 plane, with an old lady leaning on me the whole time. I was on Accutane at the time, and I had forgotten lip gloss. I was on the verge of tears the entire time because of how painful they were. This horrible girl, Lindsay, had lotion out. I almost screamed in joy, and asked her if I could use some. She shoved it under her chair, and said no. Because of my stupidity, and her b*tchiness, I had a horribly tender red ring around my lips the WHOLE entire trip.
We got to London and were told we were going to stay up until 11 at night to adjust ourselves to the time change. Being someone who doesn't sleep in moving objects (planes, trains, and automobiles), I almost died, staying up almost 40 hours in a row. I basically spent the whole trip with my ipod on, ignoring everyone but Tommy (who I grew to love on this trip). I got horribly lost in London, and was helped back to my hotel by a gang of very gentlemanly boys. I was crying cause I was so upset, and they looked upset that I was upset, and were soo nice to me, haha.

The only good part was wandering around Ireland and people asking me directions, haha. Oh, and my purchases. My WHAM! t-shirt, Guinness shirt, and GUINNESS LUXURY FUDGE being my top 3 purchases. I spent 180 dollars in phonecards, 60 dollars on the internet, and spent a total of 6 thousand dollars all together for everything. While it was my worst vacation, I'm glad it happened.

I've never had a bad trip either.
Though, the first few hours in Ottawa last summer weren't so great. We were tired from a day of driving and we wanted to eat something that wasn't McDonalds..
Guess what we ate?
McDonalds.

I have been on a vacation that had a bad part in it, but not just a bad vacation.

Several years ago, four i believe, my family went to Minnesota to visit all of my mom's five brothers and sisters and her parents. At my grandparents house in the smallest town EVER we had to lock ourselves in the basement. It was the middle of the summer and there was a tornado/twister watch/warning/threat. I've never been so scared in my life. :scared:

After the whole ordeal was over we went outside to see the damage. There were trees ontop of the house right next to them, and one that fell acrossthe middle of the road. Other than that, i would say the trip was pretty good.

Minnesota isnt that bad!!!!!! only sometimes, when it is supposed to snow again tomorrow, which is bad. and when its really cold, but thats beside the point...:offtopic:

my worst vacation was when i went to florida (WDW) because of the flights. this is the first time i had a bit of acne and flying mixed together. if you add it up...it equals :teacher: a killer headache, on the verge of a migraine, horrible face issues all trip long, and a week after we got back, and my mother getting sick because of turbulence. everything else was fun. it was nice and hot, just what i needed.

Well, I haven't been on a bad vacation, but I have had some bad experiences on trips.

Like the time that we got to the house we were staying at, and it was like someone was living there right then.

and there were some other things too....

What was your worst vacation? Where did you go?
Es Cana, Ibiza - 2002

Why was it so horrible?
There was my parents, me (12 at the time), my brother (9 at the time) and my sister (3 at the time). We stayed in apartments we were told were 'beautiful' and in 'great condition'. They were quite the opposite. The apartments were above a noisey bar (which was a cafe during the day) and were owned by a less than pleasant woman.

We were given a apartment on the top floor, which we didn't want because of my sister only being very young, we did request a room on a lower floor when booking our holiday but weren't given it. Fair enough though, first come first serve I suppose, however we were certain the lower floor apartments were empty as there was never any towels hanging out to dry or any sign that they were being stayed in.

The owner also burst into our apartment on two occasions. Once she accused us of throwing eggs at a bar tender from our balcony and the next she barged in accusing us of chucking water from the balcony at the people in the apartments below us at 3am! We did neither of these things. My dad immediately consulted our holiday rep after the first incident, yet nothing was done about it, and then again after the second, and again nothing was done about it.

It felt like, for the whole 2 weeks the owner, who was British, was spying on us and always suspecting we were upto something. I dunno why, we didn't do anything wrong, or at least I don't think we did. We weren't disruptive to any guests or rude to anyone.

My parents wrote a letter of complaint to the holiday company after getting home and we did get a reply saying they would look into it and would get back to us. Six years later we are still waiting! It was a terrible 2 weeks. Only good thing was the pool was empty practically every afternoon so we pretty much had it to ourselves.

Never had a bad vacation, but when I was 12, we almost missed our cruise ship leaving. We got there 5 minutes before it was about to depart.

I've never really had a really bad vacation. The "worst" was good at the beginning, but then I got a really, really bad stomach flu. I was at Disney World and I caught an awful stomach flu the morning that we were supposed to leave. I was throwing up all day and I pretty much passed out. I could barely move. My mom had to call down to the front desk and add another day to the vacation. The next morning I was feeling still bad, but good enough to move. So we all piled into the car and drove the 17 hour drive home. It was soo horrible. I was out of school for another 2 days after I got home.

for me, it was disney when i was eight. it just so happens that i was a bratty kid who threw tantrums for little to no reason  ...i was so bratty that i ruined the entire trip. i would rather not go into it...:sad2:

hmm..i've never had a whole horrible vacation. just a lot of bad parts in it.
the most recent one was when I went to cassadega/wdw in july. it was awful.
