Worst thing you ever ate at Disney?

In September, we stopped at the QS across from the Backlot Tour in DHS. I have forgotten exactly what it was called, but I ordered a turkey club sandwich or something to that effect and I took my first bite only to find out that the bacon was completely raw! I can still remember what it was like chewing it until I opened up the sandwich and realized what I had just swallowed. ick!

Hands down, the dinner skillet from Whispering Canyon Cafe. It was sooo fatty, greasy and just made my stomach turn.

Oh Dear GOD! That is nothing short of Blasphemy! The last 3 times we have been at Disney this is our #1 location to visit. Defintely our absolute favorite meal within the entire Disney World location...Quite possibly are favorite meal of all time! During our visit earlier this month (4 days) we ate this twice!

I generally have no complaints about any of the food I've had at Disney. The only one I can recall having any regrets about was a meal at the San Angel Inn at Mexico (EPCOT). Loved the atmosphere of the place, but the food was very bland and so-so. Taco Bell had more flavor than this.

You must have just been unlucky & gotten there on a bad day. We always eat outside at England & just adore the fish & chips. We've never gotten any that wasn't good. We have been eating there for several years.

LOL!My DH has been struck down twice from this and will NEVER eat there again, I was lucky I even got him to go back to WDW at all after I did this to him for the second time. Makes me chuckle thinking of it though!

That's what I think as well. In fact it was so bad I should have returned it. I don't know why more people don't return bad food at WDW, you don't hear of it much. Probably because it would be too time consuming.

there was a chicken entree I ordered at restaurant Marrakesh..It was horrible. I didnt even eat it!!! just gross..which is a shame because the atmosphere and service we received were excellent

I have had many good things, and just as many average things at WDW. However,the worst thing I have ever eaten in WDW was the Cuban Sandwich at ABC Commissary. In fact, this is the worst thing I have ever encountered at any restaurant in my entire life...... My DD and DW both got the cheeseburger and promptly lifted napkin to mouth in unison and you got it...... spit it out. I tasted it and agreed. Never will I ever eat at this place again.

We had the worst meal ever at Ohana. I swear our food was all brought out in a time frame that was about a quarter as long as our wait time. I thought the salad & wings were tasty. Veggies and noodles, ok, but cold by the time we ate them since they were brought to us moments after the wings and salad. The meats were all just burnt and dry. Just terrible. The sauces could not salvage them. I had such high hopes for Ohana and left horribly disappointed. We'll go back to Kona again next time, where we've had numerous excellent meals.

P.S. I totally agree with one of the previous posters who disliked the cream cheese filled pretzels at MK. Ewww, just ewww.

Dole Whip is hands down the worst thing I ever ate at a Disney property. I had such high hopes and it tasted like melted plastic.

The worst thing was the burger at Pecos Bill's, I absolutely hate that place and we always seem to be there when my husband decides he is starving.

Amen! Same here.

Burger from the All-Star Music food court took second place though.

My DH has a burger for every 2nd meal when we're there and he liked both of these...not that he's liked all of the burgers at WDW

Has to be the funnel cake at the MK. We were getting one before we went to find a place to sit for the nightly parade. I'm not sure if the woman making was overwhelmed or just didn't want to be there, but she glopped the batter in the oil.

It came out completely round and when we tried to eat, we discovered that it wasn't cooked at all. Nothing like a bite of soupy dough! I guess she thought that the powdered sugar would disguise the fact it wasn't done. We ended up tossing it. Yick!

I've never had this experience with the funnel cakes - they are my guilty pleasure but this sounds pretty awful

The meal at Akershus in EPCOT.

We loved our meals there - Akershus is in fact my favourite place to dine in WDW just for the food.

Our nightmare meal was Yak and Yeti take-out - could have been great - we ordered several entrees to share and found a nice table overlooking the river. The chicken fried rice was so awful we all and the plain rice was just sticky and tasteless. And for some reason everything else tasted pretty much like vinegar with no other flavour to add to it. Never again

I'm shocked to hear the bad comments about Boma, as it is one of our favourite places to eat!

I think the worst thing I've ever had at WDW was a salad at the Yak and Yeti take-out. It was basically clumps of very wilted iceberg lettuce with a horrible dressing. Bleh.

The last time that we ate at Yakatori House (I think that's the name of the fast food place in Japan), we couldn't eat it. We had eaten there many times before. The kids liked it before. It tasted like that they had put fat on a skewer & grilled it. It was awful

It's a dessert at CRT -- I don't recall the name -- but's a custard with caramel sauce. I put one bite in my mouth and I swear I thought I had just put rubber fish in my mouth.

Can't even remember what it was, because we blocked it out of our minds, but it was our entire meal at San Angel Inn in Mexico in Epcot. In fairness, this was 10 years ago, but we still can't go back. The Cantina has good CS food, so we stick with that.

...Ditto, but only 3 1/2 years ago. We won't go back. It was not just bad food (we're in Texas, so we kind of know good mexican/tex-mex food...this 'food' sucked), but it was horrible service. I have only ever once complained to a manager at a restaurant, and this was it. The waitress spilled the drinks we waited for 20 minutes for on my DH, which we thought was ok...this will be funny in a few months. Then it took literally 25 minutes to get him 4 napkins to clean up, he ended up having to go to the restroom anyway because it was Coke and the syrup was sticky. She forgot to bring us our appetizer (this was when you got that in the dining plan.) She offered to bring it to us after we'd finished picking at our main dish, we declined. Then it took 57 minutes (yes I kept track, after the way things were going) to get our 2 taco plates...they were soggy and room termperature. That's when I asked for the manager, he basically said well, too bad. I said (in front of the waitress, who was CHEWING GUM LIKE A COW) that I wanted to forgo the tip, as I didn't feel she deserved it, and it wasn't right to take Disney's money and give it to her for service like that. The girl rolled her eyes, and the manager said that since I was on the dining plan, she would automatically get a 18% tip. I was very angry at this time...and I am sure that the people around me knew it, as those tables are (were?) like 2 inches apart. I told them that I would just pay out of pocket, and she would get no tip. Used my dining credits to go to Cap'n Jacks, and made friends with the Chef, had a much better meal. Chef Helen ROCKS, by the way! Looking forward to seeing her (hopefully) when we return in 3 days!

I think you did great by not using your dining credits for that meal! I forgot that there was an automatic tip then. I usually tip very well, but I don't like it when they tell me how much that I have to tip. The tip is supposed to be for good service which I think that you usually get at Disney but not always.
