Worst thing I ate at WDW was.......?

A burger at the ABC Commisary, yuck! Also a grilled chicken sandwich at Cosmic Rays. I'd heard things about CR and tried it, but they must have meant something other than that sandwich because it was very dry and tasteless. :rolleyes1

Muffaletta sandwich at POFQ. Tasted great, but I suspect it was one of the unhealthiest things I've ever eaten. Eating it made me wish Disney posted nutritional info so I'd know before hand what I was getting myself into.

 I agree! That said, I always get the muffaletta at least once every time we're staying at POFQ. I order my own olive salad from cajungrocer.com and make my own sandwiches in between vacations. :cloud9:

Anything...and I mean ANYTHING...at ABC Commissary.

I could not agree more. However, the worst of the worst from this horrible establishment was the cuban sandwich I had a couple years ago. What I find unbelievable was that I was dumb enough to take a second bite of that thing before I threw it away. :scared1:

Hi! For us it's not a meal, but 1 particular item. The GREEN BEANS! Ugh! So, so gross. We eat green beans at home, fresh or from a can at least 1-2 times a week. We love Cosmic Ray's and LTT Family Meal-we get the roasted chicken at CR and the turkey at LTT, the meat is good, the potatoes are good we get to the green beans-gross! I think these may actually be grown on property at The Land? They are a strange green color and have the worst texture and taste ever. It's really difficult to mess up green beans but they have definetly found a way. It's really dissapointing b/c when we have had it up to here with greasy fried food it would be nice to have a vegetable.

LOL!!!:rotfl:

I dont recall taking second bites of gross things, but I do try to insist everyone at the table take a taste so they can agree and confirm its disgusting!

Steak at Yak and Yeti...the toughest steak I've ever had in my life!...but the rest of the food there was great.

Mine is a tie: the Greek spaghetti at Kouzzina and the pho at Yak n Yeti.

Fish & Chips at Rose & Crown. The waitress brought a steak knife when she served it. I thought that was strange until I tried to eat the fish. The batter on the fish was like shoe leather. Also the chips were super greasy and soggy. :crazy2:

I'm British and tried the fish n chips out of curiosity. They are awful...not a thing like real British Fish n chips - we can never understand the line outside Harry ramsden's!

Definitely ABC Commissary and a close second would be dinner at Tusker House.

I've never had a bad meal at WDW. I guess I would have to pick the sandwich I had at Starring Rolls one year. It's not that there was anything wrong with it, it just was my least favorite meal (because I really wanted some fries and they didn't have any :lmao:)

My worst meal ever, and I do rank this meal below another meal that gave me food poisoning, was at Universal Studios. I had the orange chicken at their international food court thing . . . it literally tasted like vomit. Maybe I'm a stickler for details but I believe that if you are going to sell chicken that tastes like vomit, you should call it Vomit Chicken.

The Rose and Crown's surf and turf. I am not kidding at all to share with you that I literally had to give up chewing the steak and spit it in my napkin. It was so tough that I could not chew it. I have had 1 cavity in my life.... My teeth are flipping strong. Sent the steak back (which I never do) and asked for a medium rare rather than a medium hoping that would help. Nope! The second one was worse. Did not manage to eat one piece fully of either of the steaks. Did not help that we were on the patio and it was Christmas time and we were FREEZING. If you are not under a heat light there you were screwed. So, cold and tough steak = one of the grossest meals I have ever had anywhere.

The worst thing I ever ate was room service pizza from the Contemporary. Just too doughy and saucy and pretty much tasteless. I would say most pizza from Disney could be described this way. Then again, I'm from Chicago and have access to really great pizza at home. So I just don't order it anymore. We were just exhausted one night after getting back to BLT from the parks and 24 hour room service was pretty much our only option and pizza wasn't going to break the bank. Ah, but you get what you pay for.

2nd place goes to a cream cheese pretzel. The pretzel was hard as a rock and the cream cheese just oozed out. And it was sickeningly sweet.

Finally, if you like the turkey legs at Disney, do not continue reading (same goes if you are easily grossed out.) I've never had a turkey leg at Disney, but many, many years ago a co-worker ordered one at the Taste of Chicago. It hadn't been cooked enough, and when she bit into it, a tendon burst and blood just spurted out. It was beyond scary. I don't care how good those turkey legs might be, I'll just never get past that sight. No turkey legs for me - ever.

I found the fettuchine alfredo from the old itainian restaurant in Italy completely inedible. It was like eating glue. I have no idea why people raved about it. Also the shepards pie from Rose and Crown was pretty bad. I much prefer the shepards pie at Ragland Road.

The ribs and brisket from Fairfax Fare and the taco salad from Pecos Bill. The brisket from the former tasted like. . . meat. Really, I can't describe it as anything else because there simply was no flavor to the dry slab of beef. :confused3

What immediatly comes to mind is the POR food court. My DD and I figured we would get burgers. MISTAKE! Came out from a bin kept under heat lamps. Then we met up with DH and DS. They both got the carved roast beef--or was it steak? Well, whatever it was advertised as, it was really a big piece of fat and gristle. Now when we walk over there from POFQ, we stick to the pasta place.

My worst Disney food ever was the breakfast sausage at the ABC Comissary. It was beyond disgusting. I couldn't even eat it drowned it ketchup. I threw it out and went hungry, because I wasn't buying anything else to eat there either.:crazy2:Nasty!!

The Asian Noodles at the ABC Commissary at DHS. They were seriously BAD!
