WORST Rock Lead Singer Ever?

Sammy Hagar with Van Halen - I like Sammy on his own.....

and Lukas Rossi, DH and I are going to see Supernova because I need to see Tommy, (5th row center, small arena) and I'm really bummed that Lukas has to be there.

Stapp is a pompous jerk who really can't sing all that well. I saw him in Orlando--his first solo show, and he never even acknowledged his band. :sad2: There's so much dysfunction in that entire camp, starting with his former manager, and ending with his sisters fiance. They're all a bunch of kooks IMHO.

Performers' personal lives never really interest me. I only care whether they deliver the goods or not. But then I never get the chance to speak to any of them so I suppose that makes a difference.

I've never spoken with Scott. I'm refering to his live show. Any guy who spends 90 minutes onstage and never as much as acknowledges his band, let alone introduce them or thank them, is a jerk IMHO. (I have met the sister, her fiance, and the former manager, they are the ones I was referring to as kooks.)

In contrast, Bo Bice was all about introducing his band, thanking them, and making sure they all got their moment in the limelight as well.

No---- no no no no LOL. Really? Not my man. I followed him on tour last year (saw him 6 times last year alone-- I'm not going to admit how many times I saw Matchbox Twenty). hehehe. I was so afraid when I pulled this up that someone would say Rob--- and here it was the first post hehehe!!

You sound like me! Although I only saw him a couple times on the solo tour. *sigh* trying to pay for my last year of college cut into my road trip budget. I'm getting to anxious waiting to hear word on when/if they're getting back into the studio!

Did you go to the Vegas shows last New Year?

No, I didn't because DH and I already booked a parent's only weekend in Disney including the nonrefundable airfare. If that hadn't been booked, we would definitely have been there-- we just couldn't leave the kids for two weekends in one month (and we couldn't have paid for it either). I was almost afraid to book another January trip (this time with the kids) for fear I would have to miss them again-- but they aren't playing this New Years anyway, so I was safe.

As far as the other shows-- I was very lucky that between the club tour and the full tour, Rob did alot of shows within 2 hours of Philadelphia (one was less than 5 minutes from my house)-- so it wasn't that hard to see him that many times. I didn't have to travel far. I was also lucky that for all of those shows I was between the 3rd and 9th row. Great tour!!!!!

According to (I'm not sure if it was Kyle or Brian)-- as of right now there are no plans of getting back into the studio.

Sorry for hijacking this thread.

Is Chad Kroeger Nickelback? I wasn't sure??

That happened once when we saw Waylon Jennings many years ago. He never acknowledged the band or the fans but he sang so well that I let it go. :)

The Vegas shows were great - New Years Day was better though. The countdown to the new year was a little anti-climactic, LOL.

I'd heard no plans to get into the studio right now. . .but still hopeful for next year. I know early plans, a year/year and a half ago, were that they'd be in the studio right now . . . Maybe I'm an optimist, LOL!

Oh you went!!!! That's great!!! I heard New Years Day was much better because they didn't have as many high rollers to cater to. Lucky you!!!!!!

I'm so sorry again for hijacking.

I have to disagree. I like all three of those, well Stapp when he was with Creed.

The only one that comes to mind is Neil Young - great songwriter, but I can't tolerate his voice.

But really, aren't they all the same person? And didn't they have (slightly) more charisma when they went by the name Eddie Vedder?

And Neil Young's right elbow has more talent and stage presence than that lot combined.

BUT that's just my opinion. :)

But, we agreed so on the wonder that is Alec Baldwin hehehe!! How could you not like my man???

It's just that, to me, he seems like the poster boy for late nineties/early aughts rock frontmen: e.g., the bland-er, the better.

But, yes, Alec Baldwin still rules! ;)

Yeah, Diamond Dave was a helluva frontman! Singing ability? Marginal. "Cha-RAZ-muh"? In spades! :thumbsup2

Apparently, writing some of the most timeless rock songs ever ("Walk On the Wild Side", "Perfect Day", "Dirty Boulevard", "Sweet Jane", "White Light, White Heat", etc.). :)

Don't know his name, but he replaced Sebastian Bach in Skid Row.

Couldn't hold the note in "18 and Life", had to take a breath to finish it. Loser.

I'm gonna agree with Scott Stapp from Creed, oh and whoever sings for Nickelback too
I know I'll be flamed for this, but I've always hated Robert Plants voice, which is disappointed because I think Jimmy Page is awesome. Same thing with Van Halen - love Eddie, hate all their singers :crazy2:

You had me with Stapp and Kroeger--then you lost me with Robert Plant. Zep is the second greatest rock band ever, second only to The Beatles.

Scott didn't sing all that well, so he can't use that excuse. :rotfl2:

It bothers me when a "star" doesn't acknowledge their band.
