WORST place you've gotten stuck on a ride!

Michigan-

That is what I thought.........in fact, that is what I always tell my children, it makes sense and they don't get as anxious.

i'd love to see the workings OF btm.

and why keep the fast passes...they are useless!

but i'll admit. i collect them! they bring happy memories

Actually, these Fast Passes are good for any attraction in the MK and don't expire until 2031. I didn't even know these types of Fast Passes existed until they were passing them out.

One time we got stuck on Space Ship earth at the top before you make the return back down to Earth. We stopped for 5 minutes right in front of the speaker that says, and I quote: "Attention Time Travelers. Your time machine is about to rotate for your return to earth. Please remain seated at all times."

And it repeats approximate every 5 seconds. Again. And again. And again.

And it's loud.

Over T-Day, my wife and daughter got stuck on Soarin for over 40 minutes because a seatbelt broke. Once they got it fixed they got to watch the entire movie again. I was outside in the lobby with my 2 year old trying to entertain her in those huge crowds. Insane!

My sister n law is afraid of roller coasters. My brother and her went to DL for Grad nite in 98. Well somehow my bro talked her into going on Space Mountain. Now mind you this was her first ride on a roller coaster (lol). They boarded and the ride broke down. Lights came up and she could see the track, which made her fears of roller coasters worse. They were stuck on the ride for 45 min. I eventually talked her into going on the roller coaster in DCA but it was many years later.

I'll bet that those FastPasses are the handwritten ones that are good for ANY ride
in the MK and good forever. We got a buncha them earlier this year after we had a small
issue with a CM at Peter Pan... :)

Wow! what an adventure...

We got stuck in Test Track for about 15 minutes, right where the heat test is! I thought I was gonna die from the heat, and of course you can't get out of the cars or anything.

I didn't go on that ride again for a couple of trips, just in case!

We got stuck on Splash Mountain by the river boat with the singing chickens. I still laugh about it every time we go past.

Fortunately we never got stuck on anything at WDW (knock on wood - don't want to jinx myself for our June trip). We were trapped on Spiderman @ IOA for about 30 minutes. It was right at the part where your car is heading for the huge fan. The fan kept going for atleast 20 minutes after the lights came on which was really loud and annoying after about 3 minutes. They sent a CM over to make sure everyone stayed in the car (like how could we get out; plus were were elevated). Eventually they came over with steps for us to get down and we had to walk out of the ride. I must say though, up until that point in the ride my DS was scared. Having walked around it with the lights on, he wasn't scared when we got to ride it again (they gave everyone FP to ride anytime later that day). It is amazing isn't it - we'll sit in a ride for 45 minutes and everyone will laugh and make light of it. Get stuck in traffic for 5 minutes on your way to work and you want to punch someone.

We went in January and got stuck in the simulators at CyberSpace Mountain in DisneyQuest..they unscrewed this little hole in the top and asked if we were okay and if we pushed the STOP button..we were like, uhm no..we were in there for over 15 minutes..that was fun..DH was making fake gagging motions at the camera and pretending to pick his nose.. :rolleyes2
and we were certainly glad we were strapped in, or there would have been a movie circulating the internet..

Got stuck on the Skyway thing at Disneyland back when it was open. We were stuck for what seemed like forever. Fastpass was non existent back then so we just got an apology and sent on our way.

I thought we got stuck on Hall of Presidents but realized that the show was progressing normally ;). got a good nap in though.

Foobs :earsboy:

We got stuck in the Haunted Mansion right in front of this group of ghosts playing musical instruments, and all the sound went out except for the guy playing the flute. So we sat there and listened to a flute solo for about 10 mins. Kinda funny.

We also got stuck going up the conveyer belt on the Grizzly River Run at DCA. The park hadn't officially opened yet, so they were still working out lots of glitches. We only sat up there about 15 minutes, and were making jokes with everyone else in our boat, like, "Does DCA stand for Disney's California Accidents?" :lmao:

Thw WORST place we got stuck on a ride was on Splash Mountain! The ride stopped for some time just as we were about to go down the drop!!! That was pretty scary!...At least we didn't get stuck going down the drop!

:scared1:

I don't think it would be possible to get stuck going down the drop. At that point, gravity is running the ride.

We've gotten stuck on the HM many times, but never for too long.

We were stuck in It's a Small World for over 1/2 hour...it felt like a lifetime! The best part is that we had it on video tape. People actually climbed out of the boats and tried to walk out! It was like a torture chamber!

My aunt hates that ride because one of her co-workers got stuck on it and kept hearing that ketchy toon over and over again. She just imagined it and got sick of it.But not to be mean but dont you hate when people in the ECV or wheel chairs get on the ride and it makes you wait forever.I had to wait in the pitch black part of HM and my mom kept touching my leg. :scared1: We also got stuck at one of the doors that open and my mom did the same thing. But now if you look back at it, it sort of is fun.

Personally, the worst thing that ever got stuck was not a ride...it was Fantasmic! DH and I were on our honeymoon, and wouldn't you know, the show breaks right when it looks like Mickey is doomed. Anyway, the lights come up, the announcer apologizes that due to technical difficulties the show can not continue, and then all these young children start bawling and screaming about how Mickey is dead. We were very glad we weren't parents then.

More recently, DSis took my DS on BTM and he no sooner turned to her and said, "Auntie Becky, I DON'T LIKE this ride!!" when the ride broke and they had to evacuate. We are expecting his letter from Hogwarts any day now :)

WHile this was not at DW I got stuck in MART at the 1984 Worlds Fair in New Orleans. We was sitting couple hundred feet above the Mississippi River for about 30 minutes in just one of those little skycar things

I have gotten stuck on Spaceship earth while goign up the incline
In HM I got stuck 2 times right by the corpse bride where the cars turn to the side, which is funny because both times I scared the crap out of the people next to me when I reached over and grabbed them

Just last December we got stuck on:

Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Carribean (for 20 min. in one place), Spaceship Earth, It's a Small World, and Haunted Mansion.

Everytime we went on them they stopped for a significant amount of time. It really takes away from the ride, but oh well, I'm in WDW!!

In December we were delayed on HM at the part where your "car" is laying down kind of backwards. They shut the audio off and we were just sitting there. I would like to get stuck someplace and get fastpasses! :sunny:
