Worst Meals at WDW?

Coral reef... totally inedible and made our tummies upset. Service was terrible. Waitress was annoyed that we were on DDP. We will never even think about it again
CRT dinner-Ate less than half of the food which ended up making us sick anyway. We visited potties all over MK plus it was too $$$ for what it was and the character interaction was zero.
Rainforest cafe.... I just don't get the hype. The food is mediocre, its expensive and service is usually bad. We have tried it over and over because DD thinks its fun but last time we went I had an upset tummy and was given a hard time for not eating.

50's Prime Time is the worst meal for us, we want to give it another try, we should have stuck with the basics but me and dh both got a pastra primavera with shrimp and it was disgusting, but dessert was yummy:)

I'd say the worst meals we had were at Whispering Canyon and Coral Reef. Not completely inedible, but not great. We stay at the WL, and even though Whispering Canyon is convenient, we won't be eating there this trip. Maybe next year we'll give it another try. Ditto Coral Reef. We didn't think the food was worth the price. Neither was the service.

The worst were 9 Dragons, first time there in fall 2007 and just not good at all. I couldn't even eat my shrimp. It was just horrible mushy and tasted over cooked. San Angel is great for atmosphere, but we at there both 2007 and 2008 and not great. We did have a reservation for next week but cancelled once looking at the menu. They took off even the dish I had in Sept and don't have appitizers that I could eat for my main course. 1900 park fare wasn't great, but we would go back. ABC commissary is awful for a CS as well.

Most places to eat at WDW are at least ok some better than others like the food court at ASMu, which is always fresh and good, Sunshine Seasons, Cosmic Rays, Teppen Edo, Liberty Tree Tavern to name a few!!

Spoodles. :scared: Won't miss it when it's gone.

Even my dh, who regularly takes clients to a variety of restaurants in NYC and will eat just about anything, hated it.

We are not big fans of the "family style - all on one plate" meals, so we would not be going back to the Garden Grill.

Flying Fish and the Pepper Market. Flavorless goo.

I've never had a "bad" meal at WDW.

I hate to say it, but we found dinner at Chef Mickey's to be really mediocre, especially for the price. I'm willing to give it another shot though.

Unfortunately after several wonderful visits, Garden Grill served us a horrible meal. We will not go back for a while.

WCC was also not up to expectations - made my stomach upset. Probably will not try again.

After all our trips, 2 disappointing meals is not bad!!

I wouldn't say that I've ever had a terrible meal at any of the ts restaurants at WDW. However there are some that I would not be overly excited to return anytime soon. Those would include Whispering Canyon, 50's Prime Time Diner, and Cape May Breakfast Buffet at Beach Club.

Now cs restaurants are another thing. One of the worst meals I have ever had in my 45 years of life was at the ABC Commissary. That sandwich they call a Cuban was horrible and what they call a hamburger had to be mystery meat pressed between two hard and stale buns. Never again for me.

Holyywood and vine
We did it to get the fantasmic package b/c we were there at thanksgiving and couldn't get Mama Melrose. Basically like Morrisons, not inedible but certianly not worth what we paid.

Hollywood and Vine (average food, blah atmosphere)

Also Liberty Tree Tavern (horrible food).

Will not go back to either place.

Coral Reef. Both times. The food was not good (except for the Land and Sea appy), the waiter was really rude the second time, the restaurant looks dated and cheap and the wait the first time was well over an hour. We will not be back.

Tusker House breakfast buffet. Bad all around.

Atmosphere at Coral Reef was terrible, service was slow, but the food was pretty good.

We once had a meal at Narcoosee's so atrocious that they comped it- but that was 10 years ago. we waited an hour for our reservation, got cold soup, salad so salty it tasted like the salt shaker fell on it, and my dad found a metal spring in his mashed potatoes!

I haven't eaten at too many TS places, only 50's prime time cafe, and I liked it, the WORST I've gotten was at the ABC Commissary, NEVER again, and in January for my birthday, I got a taco salad at pecos bills that was really greasy and upset my tummy, and I eat at pecos bills ALL THE TIME!! That's my favorite place!! But, must have been the time of night or something, cause WHOA I needed a potty when I got back home....BIG TIME!!! LOL

Jiko it was terrible.

Oh no. I've been dying to try Jiko.

Our worst meal seems to be a popular one- the ABC Commissary. I had a hamburger that reminded me of what they served in my elementary school cafeteria. And no matter how much ketchup I put on, it was still dry.

Can't say that we "won't" ever go back to any restaurants. There are some that we don't go to very often because we enjoy others more.

Biergarten....used to be one of our favorites, but the last few times hasn't lived up to our expectations. Food choices are fewer than before and quality has gone down. It probably didn't help that on our last trip we were seated at a table with 5 drunken slobs who insisted they had made an ADR for 5 people, when they had made it for 4. We are a party of 4 (seated after them) and had to squeeze around the end of the table to make room for them. It didn't pay to argue about it, we just tried to make the best of a difficult situation.

Marrakesh....haven't been impressed with the food either time I've gone there. It's probably just the type of cuisine that isn't to my liking.

Rose & Crown....again, haven't been impressed with the food when I've eaten there. Should probably give this another chance.

Hollywood & Vine.....no atmosphere, OK service, mediocre food. DH said this one is off the list for a LONG time to come! Only did this one because of the Fantasmic Package.....NOT worth it!

Planet Hollywood.....only been there once, many years ago, but wasn't impressed. Food was not good and service was lousy. Although, I suppose our children should experience it sometime, so maybe we'll have to give it another chance.

Chef Mickey's....food is nothing great. Our kids aren't into the character meals anymore either.

Ohana......nothing special here. It was too loud in there to carry on a conversation with the person sitting next to you. Food was OK, but nothing special.

As I said at the beginning, these are all places WE didn't appreciate much, but we'd give the majority of them another chance at some point in the future. Maybe I'll have to make it a rule that we need to revisit one of these restaurants on each trip. :wizard:
